Jin, K, S, and Elea, the four of them embarked on a mission to save the world. Jin transforms into a red giant and confronts the formidable enemy, Mecha Grakyess, but exhausts his strength and collapses. As Jin lies wounded and defeated, Elea begins to recount the miracle that occurred three months ago.
According to Yuji Kobayashi, the goal from the earliest planning stages had been to link this series to the original by featuring Dan and Anne. However, deciding exactly how they should appear proved difficult. They agreed that, out of respect for the original work, their portrayal should not be too explicit. Consequently, their meeting was intentionally left vague, with no reference to time or place, in order to preserve a sense of mystery.[2]
Since Ultraman Mebius had recently incorporated numerous direct references to the classic series, a different approach was needed to pay homage. Takeshi Yagi suggested mentioning Ultraseven in the dialogue, with the courtyard crowd saying his name first and Jin echoing it.
Takeshi Yagi believed that the impression left by the final episode would have a significant impact on the series' overall reception. He gave careful consideration to the conclusion, particularly the nature of the Rulers. He described them as beings without even the concept of invasion, creatures with no real objective. "Just as humans continue to exist in order to survive, the Rulers simply persist. Upon discovering another world, they proceed to consume it..."
Regarding the naming of the Grakyess, Yagi noted that naming an entity inherently defines and categorises it. The enemy was originally conceived as an incomprehensible presence, although this idea is never explicitly explored in the series.
If we consider what happens after the original series finale, it's likely that, if Ultraseven/Dan returned to Earth, he would naturally seek out Anne. As Ultraseven X carries the "Seven" name, the team wanted to avoid any explanations that might contradict the established continuity. Therefore, they decided to have Dan appear by Anne's side after Seven had defeated the enemy in another world. However, the timing of their reunion is deliberately left ambiguous. The two simply smile at each other without speaking, allowing the audience to interpret the ending for themselves.
Yagi noted that, although the battles in Jin's world have probably come to an end, peace remains uncertain. Rebuilding a world that was once ruled by enemies would be a daunting task, and hidden alien or human forces might attempt to seize control again. Given the unpredictability of the future, he believed that this uncertainty offered rich potential for new stories in which the agents would face challenges unlike any they had encountered before.
