NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Ultraman Trigger STAGE 3. "Warriors Across Spacetime" (NEW GENERATION THE LIVE ウルトラマントリガー編 STAGE 3「時空を超えた戦士たち」, Nyū Jenerēshon Za Raibu Urutoraman Torigā-hen Sutēji Surī "Jikū o Koeta Senshi-tachi") is a stage show that was held at Ultra Heroes EXPO 2022 New Year Festival.[1]

The stage show's final showing on the last day of the festival, which was livestreamed online, included a talk show by the Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga cast after the initial performance.[1][4] In the archive of the livestream, an extra post-credits short called After Talk: Kengo and Marluru's Ending Story (アフタートーク『ケンゴ&マルゥルのおわりのりはなし』, Kengo to Maruru no Owari no Hanashi) was added.

Synopsis[]

Carmeara uses a Bullton to summon enemies across dimensions, leading to an chaotic brawl between the Ultras, the Giants of Darkness, the Absolutians and numerous Kaiju.

Different guests appeared on each day the stage show was performed.[1] Some were characters that appeared in Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga, while the others were singers for the show's songs. ChouCho was unable to attend her planned guest appearances due to an illness.[5][6]

Home Media[]

A recording of one of the January 4 performances was first made available as a rental on TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION and as a DVD at the Tokyo performance of NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Ultraman Trigger STAGE 4 on June 11, 2022.[2] The DVD was also sold at Ultra Heroes EXPO 2022 Summer Festival and Tsuburaya Store ONLINE from July 23, 2022, before getting a general release on September 9, 2022.[2] The DVD doesn't have the last day talk show, but includes 5 minutes of battle footage at different camera angles to the main video.[2] The stage show was made free for standard users of TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION on December 1, 2022.[7]

Trivia[]

  • Given that Hudram is dead and Darrgon is still alive, this stage show takes place between episode 22 and episode 23. Episode 22 aired on the day of the first performance.
  • This stage show features the debut of Gatanothor's new inflatable suit. It was based on a illustration made by the kaiju's original designer, Hiroshi Maruyama, for TSUBURAYA EXHIBITION 2021, labeled Gatanothor (Second Form) (ガタノゾーア第2形態, Gatanozōa Dai-ni Keitai),[26] although this show's credits simply call it Gatanothor.
  • Mao Ichimichi does not reprise her role as Marluru in this stage show, likely because the character is voiced live instead of with pre-recorded lines.
