NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Stars - Ultraman Zero ~The Beginning Story~ is a stage show held at various locations in 2024 and 2025. One of its performances at Hakuhinkan Theater on November 4, 2024 was livestreamed.[11] Each performance featured voyager performing live, apart from the final two performances at TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2025, which featured every Ultraman protagonist from the New Generation Ultraman Series.[7][8][12] One of those showings was also livestreamed.[13]
The livestreamed Hakuhinkan Theater performance was added to TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION as a rental on February 28, 2025,[14][15] before being made free for standard and premium users on April 1, 2025.[16]
Synopsis[]
The first part acts as a remimagining of Ultraman Zero's origins from Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie. Desperate to get stronger, Zero attempts to reach for the Land of Light's sacred Plasma Spark, but is caught and banished to Planet K76, where he is forced to train in a weaker, human form. Meanwhile, the evil Ultraman Belial escapes and ravages the Land of Light, leaving only Ultraman, Ultraseven and Ultraman Mebius to combat him and his army of kaiju from the Monster Graveyard.
The second part acts as a reimagining of Ultraman Geed episode 3. After opening with Zero fighting alongside Ultraman X (based on episode 5) and Ultraman Orb (based on Ultra Fight Orb), accompanied by voyager singing their theme songs, it transitions to Ultraman Geed's Earth, where Zero encounters and forms a unique bond with the human, Leito Igaguri.
Lastly, there is a finale segment where Zero and the New Generation Heroes fight various opponents as voyager sings "Ultra Spiral", followed by "Minna Daisuki na Ultraman" while the Ultras interact with the audience.
In the TSUBUCON 2025 version, two aliens use a device to travel the Multiverse, but keep failing to invade due to Ultras always being present. Daichi and Riku catch up to them, but they escape and decide to look through data on the Ultras to face them better, with part 1 and 2 unfolding as they watch. However, this turns them into Ultraman fans and they come to Earth as excited tourists. When one alien drops the device's remote control, it opens portals that numerous invaders immediately enter, but this is followed by all the New Generation Heroes arriving to combat them. Afterwards, each hero gives some words to the audience.

Trivia[]
- The audio of Ultraman Z explaining the Hakuhinkan Theater rules voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka is reused from NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Stars ~They Are Ultimate Force Zero~, including him singing "Promise for the future".
- As part 1 is a reimagining of Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: The Movie, there are a number of differences with the original story:
- A majority of characters are not involved, such as Rei, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman King.
- Zero fights past nameless Ultra Warriors to reach the Plasma Spark.
- Zero trains in a human form instead of in the Tector Gear and spars with nameless Ultra Warriors instead of Leo himself.
- Zero mentions that he had no mother, while Zero's mother has yet to ever be mentioned in on-screen media.
- Belial is freed from the Space Prison without explanation, attacks the Land of Light without the Giga Battlenizer and leaves without stealing the Plasma Spark, before obtaining the Giga Battlenizer at the Monster Graveyard.
- This may imply that Belial retrieved the Giga Battlenizer by defeating EX Zetton in the Valley of Flames himself, based on the events of Ultraman Mebius Side Story: Ghost Rebirth.
- Ultraseven asks if Belial has lost the heart of an Ultra, instead of Father of Ultra.
- When Leo mentions the possibility of Zero falling to darkness like Belial, footage of Zero Darkness from Ultra Zero Fight briefly plays in the background. Also, when Zero talks about the people he will meet in the future, footage of Ultimate Force Zero as well as footage of the New Generation Heroes remembering their bond with Zero from Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes is shown. In the TSUBUCON 2025 version, the former is not shown and the latter is replaced with a still image of Ultimate Force Zero and some of the New Generation Heroes.
- Zero's human form's outfit is reminscent of the outfit worn by his first human host, Run.
- The few voice lines said by Ultraman X (Yuichi Nakamura), Ultraman Orb (Hideo Ishiguro) and Ultraman Geed (Tatsuomi Hamada) are stock audio. X and Zero's exchange is reused from Ultraman X episode 5. Orb's second line when seeing Zero is reused from when Gai holds Zero's Ultra Fusion Card to transform into Emerium Slugger from Ultra Fight Orb, while Zero's reply is newly recorded but with the same words as when he greets Orb in Ultraman Orb The Movie: Let Me Borrow the Power of Bonds!. Additionally, Darklops Zero emits distorted versions of Zero's grunts, unlike in Geed.
- A rare case for Ultraman stage shows, part 2 features a large number of onstage humans.
- The prop for the aliens' dimensional remote was previously used as the tablet to control Miclas in NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Stars - Ultraman Z ~Time to Depart~, which appears to a modified Battlenizer.
- Omega's Valgeness Armor's appearance in the TSUBUCON 2025 finale precedes its debut in Ultraman Omega. It was also first unveiled the day prior.[31]
- This stage show was first announced without a subtitle or synopsis, making it unclear whether it was the same as NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Stars ~They Are Ultimate Force Zero~. It was only revealed that the first of the five showings in Sukagawa in the initial announcement was indeed said show by those who watched it,[32][33][34] after which more details on the performances at the remaining four locations were unveiled, clarifying that they were new, despite the five being announced together.
- Additionally, the first seven showings used the same visual as the Sukagawa performances. A new one was introduced when the Kumamoto and Saga performances were announced.[6]
Performance Differences[]
- Yuta Ozawa only reprises his role as Leito in the Hakuhinkan Theater and TSUBUCON 2025 performances.[11][7][8] He is otherwise played by different actors.[35][36][37]
- In each Hakuhinkan Theater performance, Leito said a different line at the end of the show.[38]
- Takaya Aoyagi appeared as Jugglus Juggler solely at the Saga performances.[6][39][40][41] In these shows, the story is framed as a novel about Zero's life being read by Juggler.[42][43][44]
- In the TSUBUCON 2025 performances, compared to the Hakuhinkan Theater performances:
- Some of the background music is different, such as "HEROES!" playing instead of "Ultraman Mebius".
- The nameless Ultra Warriors are replaced by the Androids seen in previous stage shows, Bugdalas is replaced by Peguila, Charija appears alongside Alien Hook, and Belial Atrocious and Zero Darkness in part 2 are replaced by Five King.
- Astra does not appear until the fight with Belial's Army.
- X's segment in part 2 is expanded to include Daichi and X's meeting with Zero above Earth from X episode 5.
- Orb is not given a spotlight in part 2, so he, Gandar, Golza and Reibatos do not appear in that part.
- Mebius uses Mebius Burning Brave, Zero uses his Luna-Miracle and Strong-Corona forms when fighting with X instead of Orb, X uses the Ultimate Zero Armor, and Geed uses Solid Burning. These form changes better match the original live-action stories.
- Zero presses his face against Leo when arguing with him.
- Riku himself appears during part 2, but Geed's prominence in the story remains the same, with him not having any new lines in Ultra form.
- The train passengers and thugs are portrayed by different actors and wear different clothes.
