Ultraman Wiki

NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Stars - Ultraman Z ~Time to Depart~ (NEW GENERATION THE LIVEスターズ編 ウルトラマンゼット~旅立ちの時~, Nyū Jenerēshon Za Raibu Sutāzu Hen Urutoraman Zetto ~Tabidachi no Toki~) is a stage show related to Ultraman New Generation Stars season 3 and Ultraman Z, celebrating its fifth anniversary. It was first held at Hakuhinkan Theater in April 2025, with each performance featuring voyager performing live, and one performance livestreamed on U-NEXT.[6] The show was held in three more locations the same year.[2]

The livestreamed performance was added to TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION as a rental on July 4, 2025,[7] before being made free for standard and premium users on September 28, 2025.[8]

Synopsis[]

Taking place during Ultraman New Generation Stars season 3, the show mainly depicts two stories told by Z to Ediom.

The first part is titled Chant My Name: side-Z (ご唱和ください我の名を side-Z, Goshōwa Kudasai Ware no Na o saido zetto) and opens with a recreation of the last battle of Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy as voyager sings "Ultra Spiral", before depicting the first episode of Ultraman Z from Z's own perspective.

This is followed by Z and his allies facing an army of Zettons and a live performance of "Super Nova" by voyager.

The second part is titled Warriors Departing for Beyond (遥かへ旅立っ戦士たち, Haruka e Tabidasu Senshi-tachi) and takes place five years after Ultraman Z in 2025, as Z details his battle with Haruki and STORAGE against Yapool after returning to Earth.

Lastly, voyager performs "Zero no Kakusei" as the Ultras battle kaiju once more, followed by "Minna Daisuki na Ultraman" as the Ultras interact with the audience. After some final words from voyager and the MC, the show concludes.

Trivia[]

  • The show calls back to Z's dialogue about he and Haruki promising to reunite from Ultraman New Generation Stars season 3, episode 3. This conversation is recreated, but worded slightly differently, instead leading into Z telling the story of what happened.
  • The show features the first appearance of Yapool Rainbow Lotus in a major stage show held in Japan, after he first appeared in Ultraman Blazar The Live In Taiwan 2023, then at events in China and New York. Unlike his prior appearances, he has lit-up eyes.
  • During the Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy recreation and some of the Z episode 1 recreation, the voice lines of Z, Zero (Mamoru Miyano), Taiga (Takuma Terashima), Titas (Satoshi Hino), Fuma (Shota Hayama), Hikari (Keiichi Nanba) and Ribut (Wataru Komada) are reused and not re-recorded. However, their original voice actors are listed in the credits.
    • Additionally, during the The Absolute Conspiracy fight, Z briefly assumes the pose he does when he is amazed by the bonds between Ultras, but silently.
  • The Z episode 1 recreation reveals that Z immediately recognized Sevenger from Zero telling him about the robot during Ultraman Z & Zero Voice Drama episode 4 "Reliable Capsule Monsters", despite not mentioning this at any point during the series.
  • For voyager's "Super Nova" cover, a newly made video plays in the background, created by Leoka Shibuya.[9]
  • The title of the second part, "Warriors Departing for Beyond", is similar to the title of the last episode of Z, "Warriors Shining Beyond".
    • Despite this name being displayed during the show and on TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION, some articles instead state that part 2 is titled "Time to Depart", the same as the subtitle of the show itself.[6][2][3]
  • In part 2, Haruki is portrayed by a masked double onstage in a few scenes, while his face is only visible on the stage screen. Previously, the same was done for Ignis in NEW GENERATION THE LIVE: Ultraman Decker STAGE 1 and Hikaru Raido in Ultraman Festival 2013 Live Stage Part 2.
  • The tablet prop used by the MC to check on Miclas seems to incorporate a Battlenizer as part of it.
  • Attendees of the Hakuhinkan Theater performances could receive a free Ultraman Card Game Ultraman Z (Original) card.[10]
  • The Sukagawa performances are part of a series of events held in September 2025.[11]
