Trivia[]
- According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, this episode was intentionally designed with comedy as its central theme. If it had been a traditional "Ultraman" series, such a storyline might have been difficult to pull off. However, in a series like Cosmos, such plots are easily accepted. Even weapons that would be impossible to see in GUTS or XIG, like the Yuke-Yuke Kaeru Tank, were created in the lively, creative atmosphere of the production.[2]
- The script for this episode was written by Satoru Nishizono, who is known for creating comedic stories. Director Tsugumi Kitaura continuously added details to the comedic style, making the story both humorous and entertaining. For example, when Fubuki demands that TECCH Thunder 4 "fly here at Mach 10!" the highest speed they can actually achieve is Mach 5. This absurd line became one of the comedic highlights of the episode.
- It is said that the emotional ending of this episode moved many viewers, especially children. There was even feedback from some mothers who expressed understanding of Mudon's feelings, saying things like "I can relate to Mudon's emotions."
