Mons Dimension Cards (モンスディメンションカード, Monsu Dimenshon Kādo)[1] are items appearing in Ultraman Decker that serve as counterparts to the Ultra Dimension Cards and harboring the power of an Ultra Kaiju.

History[]

Ultraman Decker[]

The exact origin of Mons Dimension Cards are unknown, except that they are technologies from the distant future where Decker Asumi, the Spheres and Agams came from.

Decker presumably uses them back when was active as Ultraman Decker having possession of three, known as Miclas, Windom and Agira. These cards are also passed on to his ancestor Kanata, allowing him to summon them as reinforcements.

On Mars, Kengo is approached by the future Yuzare, who gives him the Ultra Dual Sword, a trio of Ultra Dimension Cards and a Sphere Soldier Card. The latter of which is modified by Akito to provide Ultraman Trigger with entry through the Sphere Barrier and vice versa.

After Agams discarded his alias as Yuichiro Asakage, he is shown to be in possession of his own set of cards, all of which is primarily used for Terraphaser.

Nature[]

Primarily, the cards are used by Kanata through the Ultra D Flasher to summon Dimension Card Monsters (ディメンションカード怪獣, Dimenshon Kādo Kaijū) through the power of light as limited-time supporters against monsters.[2] They can be summoned when Kanata is either in or out of transformation as Ultraman Decker. Because of their limited operation time, each monsters have their One-Point Relief (ワンポイントリリーフ, Wan Pointo Rirīfu), spending their energy on a designated purpose before vanishing into Digital Particles (デジタル粒子, Dejitaru Ryūshi).[3] Certain cards are also compatible with the Ultra Dual Sword, which Decker displays to summon Miclas, Windom and Agira as part of Triple Mons Scram.

As demonstrated, the cards can also be modified for alternative use. Akito Hijiri infuses a Sphere Soldier card with the actual creature's specimen's energy, allowing its user to mimic the energy reading of a Sphere to bypass the Sphere Barrier to enter Earth and vice versa.

In Agams' possession, a single Mons Dimension Card pertaining to Terraphaser is primarily used to either summon his robot or acting as a start-up key. When loaded into the Phase Riser, it allows Terraphaser to channel the power of other monsters into projectile attacks through its Arm Cannon as a conduit.

Trivia[]

  • Further distancing from the Ultra Dimension Cards, the Mons Dimension Cards have red colored backgrounds and their representative caricatures facing to the right side.
  • In the same manner as Kaiju Cards from Ultraman Orb, the Mons Dimension Cards also serve as a promotional tactic for the arcade game Ultraman Fusion Fight!, hence their card are also usable for the game.
