Monkey was a pet to the Science Guard Party for the anime The☆Ultraman.

History

The☆Ultraman

Monkey and Pigu's first appearance.

Monkey is a small monkey raised by the Science Guard Party and can understand human language. Throughout the series, he always acts alongside his owner Pigu, showcasing a mischievous and playful side.

In one event, a mysterious unmanned spacecraft was recovered and sent to the Far East Base. This unmanned spacecraft was essentially a material teleporter, and the Heller Empire attempted to use it to transport Kaiju. However, during this time, Monkey, who was playing with a squirrel, accidentally entered the teleporter and merged with Dostony 1, transforming into Monkey-Dostony.

As Monkey still retained his consciousness, he did not act recklessly but stood helplessly crying in place. According to the speculation of the Earth Defense Army doctor, Monkey, who entered the teleporter and fused with the transported Kaiju, underwent a mutation that current Earth technology struggles to separate. To mitigate the risk of a rampage, Monkey was confined in a cage by the Earth Defense Army. However, due to Pigu's sympathy and plea, the cage door was opened.

Monkey transformed into Monkey-Dostony.

Upon learning the news, the Heller's Soldiers dispatched Dostony 2 to retrieve Dostony 1. During the battle with Dostony 2, Monkey-Dostony once again fell into the teleporter, successfully being transported to the base on Titan. During the transportation process, Dostony 1 and Monkey separated, returning Monkey to his original form. However, as a result, he was subjected to imprisonment.

Monkey bravely resisted by fiercely scratching Roygar's face, and amid the chaos, successfully entered the teleporter, returning safely to Earth. There, he was reunited with Pigu and the other members.^{Monkey Became a Monster?!}

In the final stages of the series, Monkey accompanied the team to Planet U40 to participate in the battle against the Heller Empire. However, to avoid being targeted, he was instructed to stay in the ruins of Ultria for shelter. When other members were captured, Monkey, after Ultraman Joneus transformed, went to rescue all the members.

After the final battle with the Heller Empire, Monkey and the other members bid farewell to Joneus and Amia who left Earth.^{To The Ultra Star! Conclusion: Towards Peace and Victory}
