Misato Houjou

Misato Houjou (放生ミサト, Hōjō Misato)^[1] is one of the main characters from Ultraman Saga. She is the vice-captain of Team U. Her nickname is Misato (ミサト, Misato).^[2]

Personality[]

As the vice-captain of the team, Misato has a strategic, composed and cool personality. As the only member who has received professional training and has rich combat knowledge, she often plays the role of a strategic advisor in missions, driving the U Loader to the front line with fearless courage and a belief in victory.

In contrast to the aura of her harsh personality, she has deep feelings for children and is very attentive to them in her daily life.

History[]

Ultraman Saga[]

Unlike other members of Team U, Misato was a real EDF member in the past, however she was not an official member but a member of the reserves.

After most of the Earth's population was forcibly taken away by Alien Bat, Misato and the other surviving women found refuge in a hangar owned by Yamada Industries. When other members argued about the reasons for the Earth's invasion and blamed it on her, Anna, who had just arrived, stopped them.

When they accidentally discovered a group of survivors composed of children, they took them in temporarily and formally formed the self-proclaimed defense team Team U. Since then, Sawa and her team have set out to protect themselves and their children from Alien Bat.

Later in the film, after witnessing the three Ultras fight against Hyper Zetton and finally unite to form Ultraman Saga, she and the rest of Team U assist Saga by guiding him and sending Hyper Zetton into a trap they set.

Later, she and other team members witnessed the moment when Saga defeated Hyper Zetton and Alien Bat, and the scene where all life returned to Earth. ^{Ultraman Saga}
