She then decided to go to her father's former observation center in search of a sense of belonging. If she disappeared from her father's workplace, perhaps her father's spirit would pay attention to her.

She was almost enslaved by nearby residents but was unexpectedly rescued by Horii, who came to investigate. When the residents began to attack them, the three of them fled desperately in the mist, and Michiru and Horii eventually arrived at the observation center. Upon arriving there, she began to tell her story and mentioned that she had read a horror novel about the world being shrouded in fog, which made her believe that everything would be destroyed.
