Ultraman Blazar[]
Michiko is a civilian residing in the Shomai area of Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. In the past, she and her husband led a peaceful life here. However, after her husband's passing, she became a solitary elderly person. Her usual pastime involves cultivating various flowers in her backyard.
One day, Tetsuo Suzuki, an insurance agent from the Japan Kaiju Damage Insurance Company, unexpectedly visited her home for insurance sales. Kind-hearted Michiko agreed to let Tetsuo in and patiently listened to his presentation on insurance services. Although Michiko mentioned that she currently lives alone and may not need insurance, midway through the conversation, she realized that she had left her cooking unattended, forgetting to turn off the gas stove. As a result, the food in the kitchen got burnt.
Upon witnessing the situation, Tetsuo immediately volunteered to compensate for the mishap by offering to do the grocery shopping for Michiko. Upon his return, Tetsuo not only helped her with tasks like fixing the lights, cleaning, and watering plants but also demonstrated genuine effort in providing assistance. Impressed by Tetsuo's hard work and sincerity, Michiko expressed her desire for him to stay and have dinner, marking the first time in a long while for Tetsuo to enjoy a homemade meal.
During their conversation, when Michiko mentioned the challenges of being an insurance agent, Tetsuo clarified that he didn't enter the profession out of a passion for insurance but rather because it happened to be the job he applied for. He expressed a perspective that he's currently just going with the flow, leading an unexciting life. Michiko empathized with his feelings, sharing her own experience of navigating life after her husband's passing and endorsing the idea that it's okay not to have grand ambitions in life, as long as one approaches each day with a grounded mindset.
To assist Tetsuo, Michiko signed the insurance contract and said to him, "Achieving even small goals brings great joy, doesn't it?" This made Tetsuo quite grateful and also led him to a new understanding of the work he is engaged in.
The next morning, Guigass appeared in the downtown area of Matsumoto City as the insurance company officially initiated its inspection operations. Tetsuo realized that Guigass's path coincidentally led through the area where Michiko resides. When SKaRD and Earth Garon arrived at the scene to confront Guigass, Red King II also made an appearance, initiating a two-on-one Kaiju battle.
When Tetsuo reached Michiko's house, he discovered that Michiko had no intention of seeking shelter. Faced with the approaching disaster, she had lost the will to survive, thinking that perhaps today was a good time to reunite with her deceased husband. However, Tetsuo, who had been influenced by Michiko earlier, was not willing to give up. He insisted on taking her away from the danger, and eventually, Michiko agreed to leave the hazardous area.
Tetsuo navigated the streets with Michiko on his back, leveraging his years of experience to choose the quickest evacuation route. As the monster battle spread to nearby neighborhoods, Michiko hoped Tetsuo could escape on his own, but he insisted it was not possible. Motivated by the redemption Michiko brought him, he wanted to repay her by ensuring both of them survived and enjoyed a warm dinner together. At that moment, Ultraman Blazar appeared, successfully diverting Red King II, and the two safely reached the shelter.
After a successful evacuation, Michiko thanked Tetsuo, acknowledging that she owed her life to him. However, her home might still be damaged in the disaster. Despite despairing about her future residence, with Tetsuo's assistance and the monster disaster insurance she signed, her home could be rebuilt. This experience instilled in her the courage to continue living deep within her heart.
Not long after, Michiko began recommending a significant number of clients to Tetsuo. This resulted in a steady rise in Tetsuo's performance within the company.
