Ichiro Yamanaka e7 01

Yamanaka and his fiancée Maya.

Maya Takashina is a member of TAC missile base communications department and the fiancée of another TAC member, Ichiro Yamanaka. During a recent incursion, TAC observed a celestial object named Mysterious Star Goran approaching Earth. If a collision were to occur, Earth would not survive, and humanity would have only seven days to prepare. To intercept Goran, TAC launched Operation "Maria 1," a mission to deploy an interstellar ballistic missile. Maya was appointed as the communications officer in the command tower for this operation.

Before the launch, Ichiro gave Maya their engagement ring as a protective charm. However, as the countdown began, a sudden tremor shook the ground, and Alien Metron Jr. emerged from beneath the earth, destroying Maria 1. Although Maya survived the incident by a stroke of luck, she was discovered by Alien Metron Jr., who took her life on the spot and assumed her appearance. When TAC arrived at the command tower, Ichiro rushed into the burning building to save Maya, only to rescue what appeared to be her—an imposter, Alien Metron Jr., disguised as Maya. Using her appearance, Metron Jr. attempted to extract TAC's intelligence from Ichiro.

Following the incident, TAC decided to proceed with the mission by constructing "Maria 2." Alien Metron Jr., still in Maya's guise, tried to infiltrate the armory vault to obtain the missile design plans but was discovered by Seiji Hokuto, who attacked on sight. Nevertheless, Alien Metron Jr. managed to escape. Back in the infirmary, Hokuto noticed a wound on "Maya’s" right arm that matched the injury he had inflicted on Alien Metron Jr. earlier, instantly realizing that this "Maya" was an alien imposter. However, Ichiro, convinced that Hokuto was mistaken, clashed fiercely with him in defense of "Maya."

.As Alien Metron Jr.'s scheme continued to unfold, the monster Doragory also appeared at TAC’s base. Hokuto and Yuko Minami transformed into Ultraman Ace and trapped Doragory with the Ace Barrier. However, this move drained Minami’s energy, leaving her unable to continue fighting. Meanwhile, Alien Metron Jr. wreaked havoc inside the TAC base, but when Hokuto tried to expose the truth, his teammates doubted him, heightening the tension.

With only three days left until the potential collision between the mysterious star Goran and Earth, Yamanaka, still deeply concerned about "Maya", noticed something disturbing in her words: "If Hokuto says I’m an alien again, just shoot him." Despite this, he chose to trust "Maya" and even offered her a tour of the highly classified Maria 2 factory. Hokuto and Minami, who were stationed as guards, still had suspicions. Minami suggested that if "Maya" was truly sincere, she would surrender the engagement ring Ichiro had given her. Without hesitation, "Maya" handed over the ring.

Ichiro Yamanaka e7 04

Yamanaka discovers the true identity of Alien Metron Jr., thereby confirming the truth behind his fiancée's death.

When Yamanaka questioned her further, she suddenly seized a TAC gun from his holster and threatened him. However, he acted quickly, drawing another TAC gun to disarm her, exposing her true identity as Alien Metron Jr. In a last-ditch effort, the alien enlarged itself, joining forces with Doragory under Yapool’s command to attack the base. Hokuto and Minami quickly transformed back into Ultraman Ace to confront the threat, but another monster, Muruchi II, soon joined the fray, putting Ace in a 1-vs-3 struggle.

Desperate, Ace reactivated the Ace Barrier, trapping Alien Metron Jr. and Doragory within an atmospheric rift, temporarily containing the situation. However, Alien Metron Jr. soon returned to Earth via a mysterious blue orb, resuming its destructive mission.

Maya’s death had left Yamanaka with a deep resentment toward Alien Metron Jr., causing him to lose his composure in subsequent battles, which jeopardized TAC’s efforts. Ultimately, Ultraman Ace unleashed his ultimate move, the Ultra Guillotine, to defeat Alien Metron Jr. once and for all, avenging Maya.
