Marvel Comics is a comic book publishing company that was started in 1939 and still releases comics to this day. Most known for their superheroes, they expanded into other IPs, such as Transformers, Godzilla, Shogun Warriors (Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, etc.), Dr. Who, Muppet Babies, and most recently, Ultraman. It has since been bought by Disney.

Cultural References

In the Earth-616 Lore, and first debuted in Fantastic Four, a Monster Island was brought into existence. Among the island residents where Antlar and Miclas.

Releases

In 2019, it was announced Tsuburaya Productions and Marvel would collab and bring the story of Ultraman to the paper and ink world of Marvel's world of Super Heroes. Along with the silver and red giant, some of his most popular Kaiju foes are joining him for the first time in America. It began publishing in September of 2020.

Trivia

• Marvel is no stranger to tokusatsu.
  • Marvel Comics and Stan Lee himself helped out with designing the titular heroes of Battle Fever J from Toei.
  • The illustrators were big fans since the 60's, putting references to the Ultraman Series in their comics.
  • The whole Godzilla Marvel Comics run.
  • Toei's Spider-Man was done in collab with Toei and Marvel Comics, and even had the approval of Stan Lee himself. The series also inspired the Super Sentai to have giant mechs.
