Mariya Yamada is a Japanese actress and a gravure idol. Her real name is Mariya Kusano . She is known for her role as Mai Midorikawa in Ultraman Dyna.

She won the title of "Miss Young Magazine" in 1996.
Yamada was previously affiliated with YKAgent (known as Central until July 1, 2021[1]). In 2023, she became affiliated with Tenderpro.

- Mariya Yamada once dated Takeshi Tsuruno, Shin Asuka's actor, something that was referenced by their characters in the series.
- While Mai seems to have finished school education, in real life, her actress is a high school drop-out.
- Mai was meant to return in Ultraman Saga but was unable to because she was pregnant at the time of the recording.
