Mamoru Uchiyama is a Japanese manga artist. He created a large number of manga works in the Ultraman Series.
Career[]
Uchiyama was born in 1949, and after graduating from junior high school, he moved to Tokyo to work in the animation department of Tatsunoko Production. In 1968, he entered the world of manga by drawing Che Guevara, and later, at the invitation of Shogakukan, began serializing the manga Jumborg A.
In the 1970s, he left Tatsunoko and started drawing manga for the Ultraman series in Shogakukan's grade-level learning magazines.[1]After concluding Ultraman Leo in 1975, he began serializing Ultra Brothers, which was later renamed The・Ultraman. In addition to this series, Uchiyama also serialized professional baseball and golf manga in other magazines.
Death[]
On the morning of December 1, 2011, Uchiyama passed away at his home at the age of 62.[2]
