After graduating from the Japanese Literature Department of Meiji University in 1960, Sasaki became a scriptwriter for TBS radio comedy programs. Starting from 1961, he began to participate in scriptwriting for radio dramas and TV dramas.
In 1966, Sasaki met Akio Jissoji, who was then working as a director at TBS television, through the recommendation of Nagisa Oshima. From then on, Sasaki and Jissoji collaborated for a long time, including participating in the scriptwriting for special effects TV dramas such as Ultraman series.

On February 24, 2006, Sasaki passed away due to internal illness at the age of 69.[1]
