Magnerium Ultraseven. It is mainly used to replenish an Ultra's energy reserve.
is an energy substance that first appearing inHistory[]
Ultraseven[]
At least prior to the arrival of Alien Guts on Earth, mankind had yet to develop the method to synthesize Magnerium energy. When Ultraseven, was captured and crucified by Alien Guts, he managed to relay the method of producing one to Ultra Guard before the aliens intercepted it. According to his message, it required the help of the Daimode Ore (a mineral found in Africa) to fuse four hydrogen atoms into one helium atom. When the Daimode in Shigeru Furuhashi's possession wasn't enough to synthesize it, he and Amagi quickly rescued the racer Ayako Natsu to acquire her Diamode necklace, as she was able to avoid Alien Guts by wearing a fake one.
The Magnerium energy was successfully synthesized through Ayako's help. At first it was loaded into Ultra Hawk No.1 to charge the petrified Seven, only to learn that Alien Guts had set up a mirage as a decoy. Next, Furuhashi and Ayako were able to find the true location of Seven's prison, hence alerting the Ultra Guard to race there in the Magma Riser. The Magma Riser fired the Magnerium energy to Seven's Beam Lamp and successfully revitalized the Ultra before Alien Guts had the chance to finish him.
Ultraman Mebius[]
Due to the alien nature of Magnerium, it was classified as a METEOR equipment according to GUYS. At the height of Mebius's defeat by Grozam, Asami Fujisawa commissioned Araiso to load the Magnerium Medicalizer into the Gun Winger jet to imitate the same actions done by Ultra Guard in the past. The female members of GUYS were able to resurrect Mebius when Seven distracted Grozam, allowing the young Ultra to assist the veteran in their fight against the alien.
ULTRAMAN SUIT ANOTHER UNIVERSE[]
Dan Moroboshi rides the Magmariser to get to Jiro Satsuma/Ultraman Suit Zero's location after being stranded in another dimension. The Magmariser has a supply of Magnerium, which is capable of refueling the Ultraman Suit to full power. ULTRAMAN SUIT ANOTHER UNIVERSE
Ultraman Z[]
While not mentioned in-series, Magnerium was the energy substance used to empower the fourth SC unit Ultroid Zero in its use of energy attacks, especially since the D4 Ray is reserved as its final weapon. Presumably since the Ultroid Zero gets mutated into Destrudos, the chimeric monster retains Magnerium as a secondary energy source.
Ultraman Arc[]
The daimode ore, a mineral found in Africa that produces a large amount of energy upon processing and irradiating beta rays, is mentioned in Ultraman Arc as the substance responding for powering the daimode energy generation system created by Kawami Heavy Industries. The daimode was ingested by Nezutron and the generator used to charge up the Kaiju with a continuous supply of electrical energy, and was at risk of overloading and setting off a huge explosion until it was shut down.On the Kaiju's Tail

Trivia[]
- Magnerium's katakana spelling varies between sources and published materials. In Ultraman Mebius, it is written as "マグネリウム" per the official website and the DVD cover for DX Ultra Cockpit,[1][2] Tsuburaya Productions' website for Alien Guts even supported this.[3] The official website for Ultraman Z on the other hand refer to this as "マグネリューム", with Kodansha's article for Ultraseven episode 40 further supporting their claim for this.[4][5]
- Due to the Magnerium's nature in replenishing an Ultra's strength, it is implied to be an equivalent to Spacium as part of the Residents of the Land of Light's biology, as well as their equivalent of IV drip during medical treatment.
- Alongside the Daimode Ore, Magnerium boasts the hardness of Mohs scale 15. In real life, the limitation of Mohs scale would have been 10, which would make both Magnerium and Daimode being harder than a diamond.
- The Magnerium is portrayed as a stream of arrow-shaped projectiles in Ultraseven and Ultraman Mebius. In Ultraman Z, Ultroid Zero's use of Magnerium-based attacks had the energy substance portrayed in yellow.
