Maaya is a character from the anime ULTRAMAN. She is a member of the alien terrorist organization Star of Darkness.

History

ULTRAMAN

Maaya is a subordinate of Alien Pedan and also the princess of Planet Wadoran. She is accompanied by three alien maids wearing Noh masks and a creature named Esrun. As a species facing imminent extinction, she collaborates with the Star of Darkness to ensure the survival of her people by kidnapping humans using a soul-capturing camera.

After arriving on Earth, she orders her three Noh-masked alien maids Raiden, Tsuchigumo, and Kanawa to wear maid outfits, ride floating bicycles, and use the life camera to capture images of human life, transporting them to a place through quantum transfer. When Kotaro Higashi discovers their base, they kidnap him after he learns of their existence. They then attempt to transport him and his lover, Izumi, using the camera. However, due to the unprepared transport, Izumi is killed by the camera. Later, when they try to transport the enraged Kotaro, it inadvertently causes a mutation that awakens his DNA.^{Flames of Fury}

When the Alien Pedan tried to sacrifice her subordinates to eliminate Dan Moroboshi and the other Ultramen, Maaya found herself in a struggle and was unwilling to sacrifice her subordinates, leading to a break with the Pedan alien. She fell into a state of depression but later, after confiding in Shinjiro Hayata and Seiji Hokuto, who came to her aid, she came to understand the perspective of the Earthlings and decided to release all the imprisoned humans. ^{Attack on SSSP}

However, during the release, Maaya was unfortunately struck by a spear launched by the Alien Llubihc. Despite this, at a critical moment, she managed to free all the hostages. When she collapsed to the ground, Hokuto mistakenly believed she had died, but in reality, she made a playful face, hinting that she was still alive.^{The Golden Fortress}

In the final season, she is seen drinking at a bar in a foreign town with Valcure, Zaravie Third Son, and Adad.^{Farewell, Our-}
