Original Japanese Lyrics Japanese Transliteration English Translation

The distant star in the sky looked awfully bright, so
I chased after its light as I trembled

I stared at my former self in a broken mirror
I wanted to be strong. I was in awe of everything

Looking up at a hat fluttering in the wind,
You go on a long but short journey
—Traces of bygone days

It will respond strongly when you wish for it
Now, don't be afraid of everything
Be the only one who knows pain

A flower about to wither away spoke to me for the last time,
"Even if you can't see me, I'm watching over you from afar."

Yes, you are devastated, and your spirit is eroding.
The story begins with
A faint loneliness

Your hand touched mine. How can anyone take it away if it's the
Power of solitude attracting us?
We'll seek each other until our lives end

The stars shining from behind the tree leaves say
You are just staring, thinking of the future
We will move toward the horizon, unaware of anything

It will respond strongly when you wish for it
Now, don't be afraid of everything
Be the only one who knows pain

Smile faintly, like that star

Be the only one who knows pain
