Leap to the Future (未来への飛翔, Mirai e no Hishō) is the second episode of Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga.

Synopsis[]

After Kengo comes to Earth to become a member of the defense team GUTS-Select and protect people from monsters, the Vampire Monster Gymaira appears! To make matters worse, the second Giant of Darkness, Darrgon, has been resurrected! In the face of such overwhelming strength, Trigger has no choice but to increase his own strength too – and that’s when a new power awakens!!

Plot[]

With his mother's support, Kengo decided to join GUTS-Select under Mitsukuni's request while being taught to keep his bond with Trigger a secret. Kengo gets greeted by all of the members on his first day, with Akito showing disdain.

Meanwhile, Carmeara frees Darrgon from his petrifaction to notify him of Trigger's return. Gymaira appears from a nearby river at the same time during GUTS-Select's scheduled takeoff in Nursedessei. The team decided to get Nanase utilizing the GUTS Falcon for the first time in against monster attacks while Kengo, Yuna and Akito evacuate the citizens and try to attack the monster on foot. Kengo takes the opportunity to transform into Ultraman Trigger, causing Yuna to instantly recognize the giant's name through unknown means. After pinning the monster to the ground, Trigger kills Gymaira with Zeperion Beam at point blank. However, Darrgon appears just as Trigger exhausted most of his energies, forcing the Ultra to revert to Kengo.

Akito instantly identifies Kengo as Trigger's host due to his GUTS Sparklence's mechanism, something that is only unlockable to an Ultra host and chews him out for being chosen. While still angered by how the events turned out to be, Akito decided to support Kengo under Mitsukuni's request by providing a Hyper Key, the one which allows Trigger to assume Power Type and fighting Darrgon with raw strength. Trigger emerges as the victor after they dragged their fight to underwater, forcing Darrgon to retreat for the moment. Kengo thanked Akito for the assistance, but the latter shot down his gratitude.

A mysterious man stares at the Nursedessei as it flies past the Sorafune city.
