History[]
Ultraman Tiga[]

Kyrieloid was part of a race of devil-like creatures whom had viewed themselves as prophets for Mankind's future. When one of the devils took the body of a deceased man known as Mitsuo Itahashi, he began prophesizing a "renewal" of Earth by setting fire to those who were impure (by their standards.) All the while, they began to stalk Captain Iruma of GUTS in hopes of making her see that he and his race were the rightful "guardians" of Earth instead of Ultraman Tiga as the Kyrieloids have been inhabiting Earth much longer than the Ultramen had been. When Iruma refused to accept them as their new guardians, Kyrieloid left her to die in a building that was set to be destroyed by Kyrieloid's flames. Once the people were safety evacuated and Ultraman Tiga had arrived to save Iruma from the explosion, Kyrieloid revealed his true form after exposing himself to his own fiery energy, and began fighting Tiga. The two seemed evenly matched until Tiga transformed to Sky Type. While Kyrieloid's speed was impressive, Tiga's was greater and he began gaining the upper hand with a barrage of kicks until Kyrieloid began using his Sacred Fire to gain the advantage. Kyrieloid kept up his assault and managed to weaken Tiga, but GUTS and Iruma called support for Tiga, giving him new strength. Tiga then froze Kyrieloid with his Tiga Freezer attack before switching back to Multi Type and blowing Kyrieloid to pieces with his Zeperion Beam. The Devil's Prophecy

Kyrieloid II vs Tiga
After the failure of the first Kyrieloid, several more prophets resurfaced and brainwashed a major population of people in Japan into believing that an Angel has come to Earth for their judgment. The Kyriels also fooled the people into believing that Ultraman Tiga was the devil and so prepared to open up a gateway from Hell to Earth preparing to "purge" all those they saw were impure. Also unlike the previous Kyriel, several more of his race found and ambushed Daigo, pummeling him in hopes of making sure that he (as Tiga) would not interfere with their plans. Daigo however managed to survive their assault just as GUTS came to rescue him from them.
Once the gateway to Hell appeared in the sky, GUTS left to take care of the gateway while Daigo transformed into Ultraman Tiga to stop it from opening himself. These actions provoked several of the aliens to merge into Kyrieloid II The Devil's Judgement
. Still time however, Kyrieloid II was more prepared for Tiga in battle as it possessed the ability to transform its body into forms that mimicked Tiga's own Power and Sky Types. With his enhanced abilities, Tiga was outclassed by Kyrieloid II's powers and was put out of commission upon crashing to the ground from an air fight with Kyrieloid II in Sky Type Analogue and suddenly covered with darkness which emerges from the 'hell' door. Realizing that Tiga was the real hero, GUTS broadcasted to all the brainwashed citizens of Japan that Tiga was the true hero and that Kyrieloid II had been brainwashing everyone to think otherwise. Realizing the errors of their ways the population in the city crowded to Tiga's crash site and shined as much light onto the Ultra as much as there could, reviving Tiga in the process. Realizing Tiga was still alive, Kyrieloid II returned to the Earth and resumed battling Tiga, but Tiga's new consumption of light allowed him to manhandle Kyrieloid II with ease. Ultimately, Kyrieloid II was destroyed when Tiga hurled the demon towards the gateway to hell and blown up by Tiga's Zeperion Beam, ending the Kyriels' invasion on Earth.
After the revival of Gatanothor and Tiga's defeat, they appeared to Daigo in his crystal prison in the Tiga Statue to bad mouth him and gloat. They stated they were abandoning Earth and were leaving for another world. To the Shining Ones
Trivia[]
- Suit actor: Toshio Miyake
- Voice actor: Masaharu Sato
- Kyrieloid's name in the 4Kids English dub is Kilalien. This was used as Alien Icarus's name in the TNT dub of Ultraseven.
- Originally, Kyrieloid's episode was to feature a monster. However, Kyrieloid was created instead because it would be a fresh new styled enemy as opposed to a third episode in a row with a simple monster.
- Kyrieloid was considered to appear in the film, Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey, but was ultimately cut. However, Kyrieloid (along with Geozark, Gobnu Oguma and Bizaamo) appears in Daigo's flashback in the movie.
- Kyrieloids often appear as the narrators in stage shows. Their allegiances to the other characters vary.
- In a live stage show for Ultraman Festival, it was stated that in the ancient past the Kyrieloids ruled mankind, causing the creation of Atlantis, the Sphinx, the Nazca Lines and other ancient wonders. Also, it is stated that since the birth of the Ultras after their sun died, they had coveted the power of light and so had attacked the Land of Light in the past. Whether this is canon in the series is unknown, but it is possible as Kyrieloid said that the Kyrieloids had been on Earth long before the Ultras.
- Kyrieloid II's costume is modified from the original.
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Adventure[]
Kyrieloid is one of the four aliens alongside Alien Magma, Alien Babarue and Alien Temperor to approach Kanegon for his Battlenizer. He wishes to use the device to further solidify his role as the savior of the universe. He and the other three aliens then chase Kanegon when he try to run away.
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Adventure NEO[]
The four aliens continue their pursuit for Kanegon until they arrived at Ai's world. The four fought against Ultraman Tiga and at this point Kyrieloid assumed that he returned to his Planet Earth. When Ai Asama manipulated Kanegon's Red King into assisting Ultraman Tiga, Kyrieloid and Temperor escaped the fight while Magma and Babarue were killed by Zeperion Beam. Kyrieloid then infiltrated Ai's school the next day to possess one of his school's teach and confiscate the Battlenizer before Temperor joined the fray. With Kanegon arrived at his side, Ai had the Red King fought both aliens. Temperor was killed, whereas Kyrieloid was frozen in place by Grozam's Grozam Blade. Just as Grozam and Inpelaizer fought off Red King and Tiga, Kyrieloid appeared to stab back the freezing alien with his weapon, having escaped by using his own fire to thaw out of his icy prison.
"You told me that your world is one where Gatanothor appeared but defeated by Tiga? [...] Obviously yours is the world where Tiga remains to be active. And here I thought I was back home to the Earth I was supposed to be. This is yet another parallel world. No matter, yours is about to end anyway."
- ―Kyrieloid before he left Ai and his friends.
Kyrieloid and Grozam would later chase Ai/Kanegon to Alien Guts' testing site planet where the former restrain Ai when Kanegon went off before he faced off Grozam. The two were pulled into Yapool's Alternate Dimension by Giant Yapool, who wanted to face the boy up front first. Giant Yapool retreated when he was killed by EX Zetton's coccoon, having saw the horror of what lies within Kanegon's Battlenizer. Kyrieloid made it out after Red King defeated Grozam but conceded to the protagonist as he no longer aiming for the device. Sensing Gatanothor's revival, the two parties discussed and Kyrieloid discover that the Earth he was in, as in Ai's home world, was not the one where he came from, but yet another parallel world where Ultraman Tiga remained active even after Gatanothor's demise. He left the scene just before Gatanothor made itself known, not willing to risk his life against the evil god.

Kyrieloid also appeared in Mega Monster Battle: ULTRA MONSTERS NEO. Here, after Babarue and Magma defeated by the protagonist's monster, Kyrieloid dissuaded Temperor from hurting Kanegon anymore and to fight the protagonist instead. The two were defeated, but Kyrieloid stood still, only to be frozen by Grozam Blade later on. When the protagonist and Kanegon were transported off-world, Kyrieloid reappear to them and simply left once he sensed the arrival of Gatanothor.
Trivia[]
- Ai recognized Kyrieloid, hence implying that in his world, Tiga had also fought his own Kyriel instead of the one from the World of Neo Frontier Space.
Ultraman Ginga[]
Kyrieloid's Spark Doll was seen amongst Dark Lugiel's collection alongside Garamon, Neronga, Dada, Geronimon, Mountain Gulliver 5 and many others.
Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga[]
"I have been testing those with potential. The others all failed. Swallowed by their greed, they lost themselves. Only you managed to maintain yourself. I have determined that you may be the only one with the makings of a savior. You can obtain a power great enough to decide the fate of this universe. But are you truly worthy of this immense power? Are you worthy of the title of savior?"
- ―The Kyriel's speech to Yuna Shizuma

Kyrieloid vs Ultraman Trigger
A Kyrieloid appeared in Ultraman Trigger's universe. Disguised as a human, he manipulated the Morpheus R cosmic rays, which affected the members of GUTS-Select and the three Giants of Darkness, showing them illusions of their greatest desires. Smile Operation No.1 Only Yuna Shizuma was unaffected by them and to the Kyriel, she had the potential to become a "savior" that could wield a power that can change the universe. Everyone else had "failed" because they gave in to their desires presented to them by the illusions he cast on them. Because Yuna was afraid of using her powers through Yuzare's ring, the Kyriel deemed her a failure as well because she allowed momentary emotions take control of her. The Kyriel transformed into Kyrieloid and begun to battle Trigger.
Trigger struggled to fight against the Kyrieloid, having just battled the Giants of Darkness and had his energy depleted twice. Fortunately, Yuna was able to awaken the dormant "light" within Mitsukuni Shizuma, allowing him to summon Ultraman Tiga. Tiga recharged Trigger's energy and they fought against the Kyrieloid together. They battled the Kyrieloid using their various Type Changes and finishers, chasing it through the air and fighting on ground, until they both destroyed it using their Zeperion Beams. Trivia[]
- Actor: Makoto Takahashi (human form)
- Kyrieloid's suit is newly made by Tsuburaya Productions for two reasons; first is for keeping with the company's policy to reproduce an old Ultra Kaiju suit annually (eg. Neronga in R/B, Takkong in Taiga and Baraba in Z to name a few), and the second is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ultraman Tiga. However since Kyrieloid's appearance is solely meant to be in conjunction with Ultraman Tiga's guest appearance, the company had rejected the offer from the series' directors to appear in other episodes that does not involve Tiga's appearances.
- Relating to above, Gazort doesn't count as an obligatory old Kaiju returning, as its suit was made outside of the Ultraman Trigger production team.
- The Morpheus R that Kyriel uses to induce hallucinations based on their targets' desires is a reference to the Morpheus D from Ultraman Tiga, which was a wave that caused the creation of Bakugon in the first place.
