Kozo Yoshimura is one of the main characters from Ultraman Ace. He is a member of TAC. Yoshimura is the team's authority on cosmobiology, familiar with monsters and aliens who have visited Earth in the past, as well as analyzing weather and space science. His mother lives in Ushito City, Okayama Prefecture. His family runs a cosmetics store, and his father has died.
His hobby is playing the guitar and is often featured in party scenes hosted by TAC.

- Mitsuhiro Sano started working on Ultraman Ace after studying singing with composer Jun Suzuki. Suzuki and writer Keiko Yuki encouraged him to try acting. Sano had some experience with school theater, so he was excited to take on the challenge. After thinking about it for a week, he tried out for the role of Seiji Hokuto. He didn't know that Keiji Takamine was also trying out for the same role. He even wore fashionable high heels that were popular at the time.[1]
- Although Takamine was ultimately chosen as Hokuto, Sano impressed the production team with her strong performance and ability to handle demanding action scenes, including high jumps. He was later cast as Yoshimura. This was despite the fact that he was the only newcomer among a group of experienced actors and crew members.
