Kenzo Tomioka is one of the main characters of Ultraman Max. He is the supreme officer of the Japanese branch of the UDF.
Personality[]
Tomioka has a relatively gentle, quiet, and capable personality. He often gets along with the members of DASH with a friendly attitude, sometimes showing a more childish and humorous side, and frequently naming the monsters they encounter.
However, when it comes to the mission, he adopts a strict and composed attitude to convey the explanation of the mission to the team. Sometimes, he makes ruthless decisions out of consideration for the overall situation.
His private hobbies include making bonsai, and he often has a habit of holding up his pruning shears to the sky before starting his work. Additionally, he has a special emotional attachment to the existence of Ultraman.

In the past, Tomioka was a member of the Defense Force, which contributed to his exceptional piloting skills. During this time, he also met archaeologist Ozaki and scientists Date and Yukari.
Later on, Tomioka served as the deputy commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces and the chief of staff of the Strategic Self-Defense Force. After the establishment of the UDF, he became the highest-ranking official of the organization's branch in Japan, and often conveyed orders from the highest headquarters to DASH, which sometimes resulted in him making ruthless decisions.

When Grangon appeared, he commanded DASH as the main force against Grangon and stayed in the command center discussing with Yukari about the theory that monsters are natural enemies of humans due to their harmful impact on nature. As Ultraman Max arrived on Earth to stop Grangon, he naturally saw Ultraman Max as a trustworthy ally.Ultraman Max Arrives!

During an inspection, he went to the UDF Poseidon Base in the Pacific with Kaito, which was built to study ocean resources. However, the inspection was just a cover-up: his real purpose was to visit his old friend, Date. But when the Base Poseidon was attacked by Flygler and DASH had not yet arrived, Tomioka boarded a new submarine DASH Bird 3 made by Ida to fight. Unfortunately, Tomioka was knocked down in the accident and was lucky enough to be saved by Ultraman Max.Youth Again
Due to his advanced age, he was not greatly affected by the virus attack launched by Alien Moetaranga on Earth, and as a mainstay of the Defense Force, he demonstrated his amazing flying skills to attack Alien Moetaranga.Burn! Earth!!
