Career[]

Nishi's father ran a tailor shop, and the family moved to Tokyo during her junior high school years. There, Nishi was discovered by entertainment industry professionals while participating in a school festival, making her acting debut in 1968.

After the conclusion of Ultraman Ace, she continued to work in television dramas but eventually married a man she met through golf. In 1978, she retired from the entertainment industry and operated a coffee shop called "Coffee Ban" in Ginza, Tokyo, which closed on December 31, 2019.[1][2]

Since 2004, she has reconnected with Tsuburaya Productions and reunited with the actors from Ultraman Ace that same year. She has been actively involved in various activities related to the Ultraman series ever since.

Since April 2021, she has been part of the group Ace Channel alongside his Ultraman Ace co-stars Keiji Takamine, Mitsuhiro Sano, Shunichi Okita, and Akinori Umezu. The group conducts lectures, interactive sessions, and meet-and-greet events in various cities across Japan.[3][4][5]

In 2022, Fukkan.com released a photo book titled "BEAUTIFUL WARRIOR" to celebrate Ultraman Ace's 50th anniversary.[6]
