Khan Digifier (カーンデジファー, Kān Dejifā) is the evil mastermind who created 90% of the monsters Gridman fought in his series, Denkou Choujin Gridman.

He was known as Kilo Khan in Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, the American adaptation of Gridman.

History

Denkou Choujin Gridman

The main villain of Gridman, Khan was a legendary "devil" of the Hyper World that wished to wreak havoc on the Human World. Putting Takeshi Todo under his control, Khan Digifer uses him to create monsters which he brings to life in order for them to attack the Computer World. He later upgraded himself into Giant Kahn Digifer (巨大カーンデジファー, Kyodai Kān Dejifā) for his final battle with Gridman, destroying Gridman's Helper Vehicles and overwhelming him. Kahn Digifer was ultimately destroyed by the Grid Hyper Beam.

Trivia

  • Due to his helmet, he resembles Shredder of Ninja Turtles fame.
  • He was referenced by Belial in a DVD special feature where Ultraman Belial berates him for not taking care of Gridman (Who at the time was demanding to know why he wasn't in the Ultra Galaxy film.)
  • He is the last humanoid villian in a non-Ultra series, following in the footsteps of Dinosaur Satan Grottes in Dinosaur Great War Izenborg.
  • His appearance would eventually inspire Alien Empera's physical appearance in Ultraman Mebius, whom originally a silhouetted character until his appearance in said series.
