Jetta Hayami (早見 ジェッタ, Hayami Jetta), birth name Zenta (善太), is one of the main characters of Ultraman Orb and a member of the SSP. He is the team's journalist and is in charge of the organization's website and photography.

Personality[]

Jetta is an outgoing and cheerful individual who refers to himself as the "Adventurous Youth's Information Expert." He has a fondness for interesting things and excels at creating a lively atmosphere. His extensive knowledge about UFOs and UMAs stems from his personal interests.

His dream is to "capture exclusive news that will astonish the world and become a wealthy and famous person." However, he also harbors a sincere desire to become a "hero" in practice, aiming to minimize the damage caused by monsters through information dissemination.

In the early stages of the series, he used polite speech when conversing with Gai. However, after he began living in the SSP office, their interactions took on a more amiable tone.

History[]

Jetta was a close friend of Naomi during their time at University. His family runs a pizza shop, and when he was young, his father advised him, "Heroes aren't just people who engage in dangerous activities. Even seemingly insignificant things can be heroic if you're giving it your all for someone else." This led Jetta to believe that the world needs individuals who are willing to support the weak and help those in need. The Impostor Blues

Also, based on his conversations with Gai, Jetta seems to have a younger sister. In the past, he learned sewing skills in order to repair his sister's dolls.A Heart That Won't Flee

United by a shared interest, Jetta and Naomi co-founded SSP after graduation, with their goal being to investigate and uncover unknown phenomena.

Ultraman Orb[]

When Jetta and his friends first appeared, they were investigating peculiar weather patterns in the atmosphere and were saved by a mysterious giant. They were extremely excited about the existence of this giant afterward, but they didn't have concrete video evidence to prove its existence.

Later on, they encountered Jugglus Juggler, and through him, they learned that the giant's name was Ultraman Orb. Subsequently, they witnessed Orb's battle with Maga-Basser for the first time. After the battle, they had their initial encounter with Gai.The Sunset Wanderer

As monsters began appearing one after another in the world, Jetta actively engaged in real-time reporting of Ultraman Orb's battles with the monsters using his camera. However, due to the initial live broadcasts being rather chaotic, many SSP viewers provided negative feedback. Moreover, Jetta's videos often ended up capturing no footage at all due to his unprofessional filming methods.

Throughout the series, driven by his initial admiration for heroes, Jetta has been questioning Ultraman Orb's true identity since their first encounter. He has been diligently searching for Orb's real identity, suspecting that Orb might actually be a human. During one investigation, he believed a young man named Ryuji Baba to be Orb and befriended him. However, Jetta was initially unaware that Baba was actually an Alien Babarue Babaryu from the Planet Invasion Union. Upon learning Baba's true identity, Jetta wasn't disappointed by Baba's past actions and instead actively encouraged him to confront Kelbim. After Orb intervened and they worked together to defeat Kelbim, Jetta and Baba briefly parted ways. The Impostor Blues

Later on, Jetta shifted his focus and started suspecting Ittetsu Shibukawa to be Orb, as Shibukawa always appeared whenever Orb disappeared.Cleanup of the Heart

During a particular incident, a peculiar robot landed in the yard of Kofune Manufacturing. After a brief analysis by Jetta, he concluded that it was a righteous robot and named it Galactron. With the approval of VTL and Shibukawa, the workers at Kofune Manufacturing began an extensive analysis of Galactron.Justice Out of Control

However, the next day, Galactron's sensors suddenly stopped working and quickly regained power, initiating the abduction of Naomi and launching an attack on the factory. In order to rescue Naomi, Jetta and the others continued to track Galactron as it recklessly rampaged through the countryside. When Orb transformed into Thunder Breastar and began ruthlessly attacking Galactron, Jetta felt fear and shock because Naomi was still trapped inside the machine. He started shouting loudly, eventually snapping Orb out of it. However, at this point, Galactron had already started to counterattack and was preparing for another assault. Orb had no choice but to swiftly retaliate and ultimately defeat Galactron. However, following this battle, Naomi sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized, which led Jetta to become disappointed with Orb.Never Say Never

As the public opinion perceived Orb as a threat, upon learning the fact that VTL had targeted Orb for attack, Jetta recalled what Shibukawa had said, "To protect something, you must be willing to sacrifice something." Additionally, knowing that Naomi continued to believe in Orb's conviction, Jetta began to realize the key concept that "light and darkness coexist within justice." With this realization, he successfully regained his trust in Orb. Through live streaming, they captured Orb's transformation into Orb Origin and protected their live broadcast, allowing them to restore Orb's trust in the public opinion. The activities of SSP also started to gain some recognition from the people. The Holy Sword, Restored

As Magatano-Orochi was about to revive and threaten the world, Jetta and Shin went to the home of Mrs. Kishine, who had the original copy of the "Pacific Records," in an attempt to find clues to defeat Magatano-Orochi. They successfully obtained the original copy of the "Pacific Records," but as the monster disaster spread, they were caught in the aftermath and trapped under the rubble along with SSP-7 when they tried to leave. The Giga Lord Monster Strikes Back

In order to document their final words at the cost of their own lives, they used a camera to record their last messages. However, this act revealed the secret that the "Pacific Records" was a book of prophecies. Eventually, they were rescued by Shibukawa, who arrived at the scene. After successfully discovering a method to defeat Magatano-Orochi, they contacted VTL for assistance in the battle between Ultraman Orb, Jugglus Juggler, and Magatano-Orochi.

In the series finale, he, along with the members of SSP, witnessed Gai's departure. The Wandering Sun

With Earth restored to peace, the threat of the Lord Monsters had been eliminated. One day, the SSP unexpectedly obtained the "X Devizer" and made the acquaintance of Ultraman X. They also received news about the disappearance of a human named Daichi Oozora from another universe. Subsequently, without obtaining permission, the three of them began posting missing Daichi flyers around various locations in the city.

Nonetheless, they soon became the target of an alien army dispatched by Murnau, putting them in a desperate situation. Fortunately, they were saved by Gai's return. However, as they continued their search for Daichi, they ventured into Murnau's mansion and got lost inside while being attacked by Alien Guts. Along the way, with the assistance of Jugglus Juggler, they unexpectedly found Daichi and rescued Gai, who had also been kidnapped by Murnau.

When X and Orb were defeated by Darebolic, causing Orb to revert back to Gai's form, Jetta discovered the truth that Orb's true identity was Gai. However, as Darebolic closed in on them, the members of SSP decided to protect Gai because he was already part of their team. They witnessed Ginga, Victory, and X passing on their power to Gai, enabling him to transform into Orb Trinity.

However, the members of SSP were immediately controlled by Alien Guts. Fortunately, with Shibukawa's timely arrival, they successfully defeated Alien Guts. The four of them, along with Jugglus Juggler, successfully threw the Dark Ring into the alternate dimension created by Bullton, restoring Ginga, Victory, and X to their original forms.

After the battle, Jetta and the members of SSP bid farewell to Gai, who was about to embark on another journey.Ultraman Orb The Movie: Let Me Borrow the Power of Bonds!
