Ippei is Scared!? (一平、チビる!?, Ippei, Chibiru!?) is the sixteenth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.

Plot[]

One night, the a trio of criminals escaped captivity after their jail lock mysteriously malfunctioned. Out of the three of them, one managed to escape, stealing an officer's gun and made his way to Junk's room in Ippei's house.

The next day, the escaped criminal was identified to be Shinzo Onimaru, a 35 year old who was charged with murder and robbery. While the Sakuragaoka townspeople were advised to stay in their homes, it was revealed that the Sakuragaoka Police Headquarters suffered from computer malfunction due to the work of Mecha Bamora. Takeshi simply enjoying the chaos to get back at the police officers after being wrongfully accused for a stolen bike. The disruption continues to the information center, causing the officers to mistook an old lady's house for a criminal hideout.

While Ippei went to Junk's room, he was ambushed by Onimaru to be his hostage. Kana has no idea of what happened in the room, but accurately guessed that Ippei was kidnapped and reported this to Naoto as he brought along Yuka for the search. After soiling his pants, a restrained Ippei was told Onimaru that he hid all of his stolen money at a car parked at the bank he robbed a long time ago. Naoto and Yuka forced Onimaru out of Junk's room to rescue Ippei and merged with Gridman to fight Mecha Bamora. Unable to fight against the monster's metallic armor, Gridman received help from the Assist Weapons to form Thunder Gridman and finally killed Mecha Bamora before restoring the police headquarters' computer network.

In the middle of Gridman's fight, Ippei managed to alert Koganemura of Onimaru's whereabouts and the two managed to catch him, with the rest of the police officers followed in-suit. Koganemura was hailed as a hero by the townspeople and the trio spotted him after that giving signatures to children.

"Peace has returned to the town, but the officer Koganemura and the police didn't know that Gridman did all the great job. Naoto and the rest of the trio keep fighting for peace."
