I Hate Sports (スポーツなんか大嫌い, Supōtsu Nanka Daikirai) is the thirteenth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.

Plot[]

While designing on his canvas, Ippei was invited by Naoto to peek over the swimsuit-wearing girls at the local sports center's indoor pool. The two curiously trail Yuka walking alongside her swimming teacher when the latter two bumped into Takeshi, who was indirectly mocked by said teacher for his weak physique. Naoto and Ippei decided took it to themselves to spend their time at the sports center, with Daichi and Naoto's dad were ordered by Naoto's mum to go to the sports center as well. At night, Ippei finished his earlier design into Junk, while a frustrated Takeshi was encouraged by Kahn to take his frustration into making a monster.

The next day, Yuka noticed Naoto and Ippei's sudden enthusiasm in their attempt to outdo the swimming teacher, all the while Daichi and Kana were even at the same pool as well. In the gymnasium, apparently Naoto's dad was joined by Ippei and Yuka's fathers as they were forced to exercise under their wives' orders. Takeshi completed the monster Generadon and send it to disrupt the training facilities at the sports center. The three kids' fathers were trapped in their training machines and forced to exercise rigorously without any means of escaping. The swimming instructor even turned into a coward after he failed to disable the exercise computer.

Returning to Junk's room, Naoto merges with Gridman while Ippei tries to finish the program he had conceived. He finally revealed that his and Naoto's sudden change to outdo Yuka's teacher was out of jealousy. After having his energy depleted by Generadon, Gridman was rescued by the appearance of the Assist Weapon that combine with him into Thunder Gridman, tanking Generadon's attack before he launched the Drill Break attack. The three fathers were released from their torturous exercise machines.

Meanwhile Yuka finally caught wind of Naoto's bad habit in the earlier episode and corrected that she had lost interest in that gym teacher, opting for Gridman instead. Ippei on the other hand took this opportunity to push Naoto to Yuka.

"Sports, is to train body but there should be healthy spirits along with as well. Good luck, Naoto, Yuka and Ippei. Because Gridman is supported by you guys."
