Trivia[]

Angoras vs Ultraman 80 HD
  • The scene in which Angora reunites with Baby features the song "Kaiju Requiem" as background music.
    • Director Noriaki Yuasa stated that monsters are designed in two main styles: classic and stylized. He noted that Akio Jissoji's portrayal of the monsters in the first series made a strong impression on him and that he intentionally drew on that approach in his own work.[3]
  • This episode marks Toshiro Ishido's return to the Ultraman Series since Ultraman Leo. Ishido explained that he usually worked on the latter parts of a series. Newer writers were usually given the early episodes, so he was rarely involved at the beginning. However, as the show progressed, he was eventually asked to contribute.
    • Ishido mentioned that he disliked typical Ministry of Education-style "educational" endings. He preferred stories that centered on children’s natural, free-spirited behavior. This focus on noisy, free-spirited children appeared throughout his work.
  • The week after this episode aired, on November 26, 1980, the Japan Record Awards special aired. As a result, Ultraman 80 did not air that week.
