Trivia[]
- In June 2002, due to the interrogation of the lead actor Taiyo Sugiura in a case of assault and extortion, the broadcast of Ultraman Cosmos was suspended for several weeks. As a result of this incident, the airing of this episode was halted until 2003 when it was released in DVD format.
- In the original script, Tablis was initially named "Doubles ," but the name was changed due to trademark registration issues, similar to the case of Arados in episode 53.
- According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, this episode explores the "story of SRC's founding" and depicts how the world of the series contributed to the spread of the "monster protection" concept. The narrative also shares notable similarities with real-life phenomena in Japan, such as the "Tama-chan fever."[1]
- The emotional expressions and detailed movements of Tablis's eyes were created using CGI.
