Hiroyuki Yamazaki is a character that appeared in Ultraman Dyna. He is a member of the TPC Institute of Bioengineering and the host of Zomborg.
Personality[]
Like Otomo, Yamazaki possesses a rather arrogant and eccentric personality. He firmly believes that in order for "humans and monsters to coexist in harmony," humans must understand the secrets of monster life in order to control them, and he has an extreme desire to become the ruler of all things.
However, when he tried to research his ideal of benefiting humanity and distorted it, combined with the loss of his goal of Otomo, hatred changed his personality. Driven by his rampage, he engaged in various criminal activities while losing his sanity, ultimately leading to his tragic end.

Pre-Ultraman Dyna[]
Yamazaki was born in Hong Kong in 1991, but in 1997, due to the dissolution of the company run by his parents, the family divorced after returning to Japan and became a single-parent son. In 2003, he joined TPC.
As an assistant to Otomo and a principal investigator at the TPC Institute of Bioengineering, Yamazaki and many other researchers discovered the dormant Neosaurus in the underground of an unknown island in the Bermuda Triangle a few years ago. In order to harness the monster, they established a secret research facility on the island and created Clone Shieldron and Clone Silvergon. using monster genetic material recovered by TPC. They also assisted Otomo in attempting to implant various genetic factors of monsters into the Neosaurus body, trying to create the perfect "artificial monster".
Ultraman Dyna[]
After a period of time, Otomo's actions were condemned by the investigation committee of TPC's Southern Europe branch, and under the order of the Biotechnology Committee, Otomo was forced to stop the genetic experiments on monsters. He and Otomo refused to attend the investigation meeting of TPC's Southern Europe branch and kidnapped Hanejiro to the secret research facility, intending to attack TPC with the newly completed Neosaurus.

However, when Yamazaki was conducting combat training where Clone Shieldron and Clone Silvergon killed each other, he was captured by members of Super GUTS who came to investigate, and thus led them to the laboratory where Otomo was.
With the intervention of Super GUTS and Ultraman Dyna, the Neosaurus project that Yamazaki participated in was finally stopped. At the same time, Otomo, who was the leader of the plan, was also crushed to death because he could not control the new new dragon.Battle! Monster Island

After Otomo's death, he held a grudge against the Super GUTS that blocked their plan, and could not tolerate human beings' fear of Spheres and monsters and their overreliance on Ultraman, so in order to inherit the doctor's will, he disguised himself as Kihachi Gondou and secretly stole the Evolu Cells kept by TPC, planning to use the improved Evolu cells to turn all humans into monsters.
Yamazaki becomes Zomborg.
Later, he left Earth and went to the closed TPC defense base "The Lockdown," attempting to launch a missile containing the improved Evolu cells to Earth. However, with the intervention of Shin Asuka and Kenji Fudo, he eventually implanted the improved Evolu cells in himself and became Zomborg. - The novel Ultraman Dyna: Zero Drive Towards Tomorrow, written by Keiichi Hasegawa in 2019, revealed why Yamazaki's criminal behavior was not actively pursued by TPC.
