Hiroyuki Okano is a Japanese actor, suit actor and stuntman that works at Tsuburaya Productions. He helped found and is a member of the company's action team, CASTAFF.[1] He portrayed Gridman in Gridman the Hyper Agent and a large variety of roles across the Ultraman Series, such as Ultraman Neos and Ultraman Cosmos in their respective series, as well as many kaiju. Since 1998, he has mainly worked as an action choreographer for the franchise.
Roles[]
Video games[]
| Year | Title | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1998 | Ultraman Fighting Evolution | Motion-capture actor[Note 7] |
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 Role not specified in credits, but is likely to be an action-related role such as a stunt performer or suit actor based on its placement in the credits.
- ↑ Normal form in episodes 1-3, 5, 7, 9, 13, 15-17, 19, 21, 23, 25-29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, Thunder Gridman in episodes 14, 32, King Gridman in episodes 34, 38.
- ↑ Credited for portraying Melba in episode 1, while under "special effects action" in episode 47. Also credited for portraying Gakuma in episode 2, which is corroborated by another source,[3] but Ryuki Kitaoka has claimed this was an error as he portrayed the kaiju.[4]
- ↑ Credited among the guest actors in episode 39 and under "special effects action" in episodes 42-43, 45, 49-51.
- ↑ One source alternately states Blitz-Blotz was played by Eiji Mori,[8] but as Okano is credited in episode 45 and Mori is not, this has been assumed to be an error.
- ↑ Credited for portraying Golmede in episode 2, while under "special effects action" in episodes 3, 23, 25-26, 28-30, 51-55, 61-63, 65.
- ↑ Credited under "actors", but as the Ultraman Fighting Evolution series does not involve any live-action, this is presumed to refer to motion-capture actors.
