In 1961, Yamaura submitted his script The Murderous Theft to the 16th Annual Arts Festival Public Script Competition, where it won the Arts Festival Award. He dropped out of Waseda University’s Faculty of Letters the same year and made his debut as a screenwriter. Following this, he contributed to the screenwriting of numerous films, TV series, and anime, particularly within the Tsuburaya Productions' series.
In addition, as a novelist, he wrote many mystery novels, science fiction works, and other stories aimed at both young adults and adults. After retiring in the 21st century, he focused on community theater activities in the Asao area. [1]
