Hero Senki: Project Olympus
is a 1992 Super Famicom video game about a special force team called ZEUS (Z-Extraordinary United Space). The setting is a space colony by the name of Elpis, where cyborgs, Mobile Suits, and Ultra-people live together in peace. Up to four characters can be in a party at any given time and the currency of the game is considered to be credits. When the time comes to fight evil, the characters transform into their SD hero forms. This game is a part of the Banprestro Compati Hero series.
Characters[]
- Amuro Ray - Pilot of the original Gundam. His whole attacks always hit for 50% of normal damage.
- Dan Moroboshi - Ultraseven's true identity. He plays a role as a facilitator of the team and has been reputed to demonstrate an ability to keep his cool at all times.
- Minami Kohtaro - Kamen Rider Black's true identity. His power of attack is usually the highest among the three in power consumption.
- Gilliam Yager - Pilot of the Gespenst and eventually, the main antagonist. He appears to have a hot-tempered personality.
Gameplay[]
The protagonists can punch or use some of their technical power (which is the equivalent to magic points for robots) to fire their futuristic laser beams at the opposing forces (robotic, humanoid, or otherwise). The rewards of destroying monsters are experience points and additional credits. Having enough experience points results in an experience level increase. After gaining another level, the hit points and technical power points of the robots are refilled. Items are collected in treasure chests like in normal role-playing games.
Hero Senki is famous for its initial appearance of the Gespenst and cameos of Masaki Andoh (Cybuster) and Shu Shirakawa (Granzon) from Super Robot Wars. Because of this, many references can be found in more recent Super Robot Wars games such as Elpis in Original Generations and Gespenst's second appearance in Super Robot Wars as the original protagonist's initial robot.
