He Who Peers Into the Abyss (深淵を覗く者, Shin'en o Nozoku Mono) is the fourth and final episode of Operation: Mystery - Mystery File.

Synopsis[]

Upon a bridge after the rain, a woman was found dead, her body slashed. While the police concluded it was a murder by a sharp-edged weapon, the analysis from the SRI offered a different perspective.

The weapon was likely artificially created, resembling a whirlwind. Just then, a second incident occurred, with a completely different modus operandi from the first. The victim's proteins had rapidly coagulated due to intense heat within a short span of time. The question arose: was it the same perpetrator or a copycat? And then, the occurrence of a third incident...
