Leodo drawn by Hayato.

Hayato is Ohtawara's son, who has heard stories about "Leodo" from his father since childhood. Hayato is particularly fascinated with the idea of a "kaiju in the forest." Recently, with his father's construction project coinciding with the area where Leodo is said to be dormant, Hayato believes that the forest should not be cut down to prevent Leodo from awakening. However, Ohtawara dismisses these stories as mere folklore and continues with the construction work, leading to a conflict between him and his son.

Hayato drew an image of Leodo and reported it to SKIP, prompting Yuma Hize and Shu Ishido to investigate the site. Ohtawara, believing the claim that the construction site might awaken a kaiju to be a prank, irrationally urges SKIP to leave. Hayato is disappointed by his father's actions, but Yuma, trusting Hayato, allows him to provide more clues for SKIP to consider. This also leads Yuma to successfully find information related to an event from 1200 years ago by investigating ancient documents.

When a unique "pyramid" structure is unearthed at the construction site, work is temporarily halted. Ohtawara apologizes to Hayato, admitting that he had lost his temper, and explains that he was pushing the project forward quickly to help those left homeless by kaiju disasters. However, as the base of the "pyramid" is exposed to the air, its temperature rapidly rises, and it begins to revive.

After Leodo awakens, it starts inhaling everything around it with its nose. Hayato and Ohtawara try to leave the site, but Hayato gets caught in the chaos and is swept away. Just as he is about to be eaten, Ultraman Arc appears and saves Hayato. Ohtawara rushes to his son's side, and they reconcile as they witness the battle between Ultraman Arc and Leodo.Legend in the Woods
