The Government of Japan is the bureaucratic organization representing Japan. It appears in the 2022 film Shin Ultraman as the superior administrative agency of the SSSP.[1][2]
History[]
After a series of ancient bioweapons, later classified as "S-Class Species" or Kaiju, were awakened on the Japanese archipelago and caused disasters, the Japanese government faced a situation of international isolation and helplessness. To deal with this crisis, the government took a series of disaster prevention measures, including the establishment of the Disaster Prevention Agency
.Subsequently, the DPA selected five elite experts from civilian and departmental agencies to establish a special organization called the S-Class Species Suppression Protocol
, which is dedicated to formulating defense strategies against "S-Class Species" and conducting strategic planning and situational analysis in disaster areas.
Meeting of Taishi Okuma with Zarab.
When Ultraman appeared on Earth, his existence had a huge impact on the international situation, attracting attention and causing shock. Against this backdrop, the alien known as Zarab attempted to contact the Japanese government and sign an unequal treaty with them, offering super technology from his civilization. However, the true purpose of the treaty was to sow discord among humans, and Zarab even proposed to the Japanese government to eliminate Ultraman, having imitated him to attack a military base. However, this conspiracy was ultimately thwarted by SSSP and the real Ultraman.

Mefilas' contract with the Japanese government.
As the events unfolded, Mefilas, who planned to monopolize human civilization through the Beta System (β-system) , once again contacted the Japanese government. The aim was to use gain control of mankind knowing they would be considered a valuable resource in the universe, due tot heir potentia to be turned into giants that could serve as biological weapons. After signing the contract, the Japanese government conducted a cooperation ceremony. However, this cooperation plan was quickly interrupted by Ultraman and the SSSP, the former of whom battled Mefilas as a giant. In the end, SSSP and Ultraman successfully prevented Mefilas' plot, and the signing ceremony and agreement were scrapped.
Later, when the new envoy from the Planet of Light, Zōffy, attempted to destroy the Earth by using Zetton, government officials fell into despair due to Ultraman's failure. At this critical moment, the SSSP proposed a breakthrough plan to send Zetton into another dimension to stop its attack. After detailed discussions, the Japanese government secretly approved the implementation of this plan.Shin Ultraman
