Golding (ゴルディング, Garudeingu) was a monster that appeared in The☆Ultraman.

Subtitle: Cumulus Monster (積雲怪獣, Sekikumo Kaijū)

History

The☆Ultraman

While the Hellar Army attempted to bomb the Scientific Defense Guard's base with android 201 squad, Golding was sent to destroy the city of Tokyo. Golding was able to cause massive amounts of wanton destruction before the Scientific Defense Guard showed up in the Ultria. Golding was able to withstand the Ultria's cannons and soon countered with a whip of shards from its mouth. Within a few hits Golding managed to defeat Ultria before it was saved by Ultraman Joneus. Shortly after Joneus removed a bomb that was planted inside Pigu, he grew back to his normal size and proceeded to fight Golding. After the Planium Ray failed, Joneus used the bomb and threw it into Golding's mouth, causing the shard monster to explode.

Powers and Weapons

Shards: Golding is essentially a group of scale-like shards it can use to divide and reform its body. These can form a long tongue-like whip from its mouth called the Rock Chain Attack (岩石チェーン攻撃, Ganseki Chēn Kōgeki).
Energy Barrier: Golding can surround its body in a green energy barrier strong enough to absorb attacks as strong as the Planium Ray.
