Trivia[]

Litomalus HD 2

[1]

  • According to screenwriter Yasushi Hirano, the idea for this episode came from producer Masato Oida, Oida felt that the series had so far lacked a truly child-centered story, and asked Hirano to create one.[2]
  • According to episode director Yasushi Okada, the first version of the script was charming, but it was too long. After making some cuts, the shorter version became the final script.
    • When casting the children, Okada said he deliberately chose a clumsy child to avoid falling into typical character patterns.
  • In the 4Kids English dub, this episode and episode 10 were both heavily edited and combined into one episode, resulting in over 13 minutes of footage being removed from the dub. Furthermore, this was also the last episode to be aired on American television, with Tiga having been removed from the FoxBox block the following week due to low ratings.
