During the filming of the battle scenes in this episode, Hideyoshi Iwata, who portrayed Decker, engaged in extensive discussions with the team regarding his action sequences. Particular emphasis was placed on achieving seamless transitions between attack motions. The scenes featuring Decker flying through the air and grabbing the enemy’s tail were filmed separately. Additionally, the use of dolly shots further increased the complexity of the shoot.[2]
During the scene where Kaizaki films the "How to Care for Elly" video, Murahoshi can be seen holding a sketchbook in the corner of the frame. This was actually performed by actor Masaya Kikawada himself. The decision to deliberately include this "cue card" in the shot was an impromptu creative idea from the director, who invited Kikawada to participate on set, and he gladly accepted.[3]
During the casting process for Ichika and Yuko, the production team was unaware that the two actresses already knew each other. This episode was filmed during winter, but fortunately, the set was bathed in soft natural light, creating a warm visual atmosphere. In Yuko’s room, there is a small triangular tent labeled "Elly’s House" When the Larva (Eel) was placed inside, it happened to fit perfectly within the tent.[4]
In this episode, the "gesture game" between Yuko and Elly mirrors a pose made by Ultraman Max in episode 16 "Who am I?," when Ultraman Max was suffering from amnesia. Director Takanori Tsujimoto mentioned that during filming, the actor naturally assumed this pose. This may not only be a personal habit but also a subtle influence from the history of the Ultraman series, which has unconsciously shaped the performance.[5]
Tsujimoto’s pet dog, Mu-chan, makes an appearance in this episode through archival footage, portraying the childhood pet of Ichika.[6][7]
