Trivia[]
- This episode serves as a sequel to episode 17 "Trap from Another Dimension."
- Producer Hiroyasu Shibuya explained: “This story focuses on the subtle relationships between Sawaguchi, Dr. Ghighi, and Hiura. It also delves into elements like the quantum dimensional transport system.”
- Although the true nature of the relationship between Sawaguchi and Dr. Ghighi remains shrouded in mystery, Shibuya remarked that the two characters are able to understand each other because they are both female scientists. "While they may appear rational and detached," he said, "there's a bond between them that perhaps stems from a maternal instinct—a shared desire to avoid conflict and work toward peace."[2]
- The "Ghighi Language Translator" used by Hiura in this episode actually made its first appearance in episode 17. The Ghighi voice in both that episode and this one was provided by Moriya Endo. As for the language setting of Ghighi, it was the idea of director Hirochika Muraishi: 'Since the alien is called Ghighi, let's have them say "Ghighi Ghighi," which is easier for children to understand.'"
