Trivia[]
- This episode utilized CG technology similar to the "time-slice" technique seen in The Matrix.
- This episode continues the storyline from episode 43 "Puppet Monster," and is considered the finale of the "Alien Nowar" arc.
- According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, this episode is a story that sparks imagination about the future. The appearance of Arados symbolizes that even 5000 years into the future of the series, monsters still exist, which serves as a significant encouragement to the EYES members.[2]
- Arado's design is based on a modified Jelga monster suit. The special effects team implemented clever designs for the monster, including the glowing shell. This particular suit has a slightly different structure, requiring the actor to sit inside and extend their legs into the monster's front legs. The head movements are controlled using a device resembling a car steering wheel.
- As for the naming of the monster, it was initially planned to be called "Paradox," derived from the concept of "time paradox". However, due to trademark registration issues, after several attempts, the team ultimately decided to name the monster "Arado," using the name of the screenwriter Kenichi Araki.
