As the Science Guard Party took the war to the invading Alien Scien forces to their asteroid base, Spader was unleashed. The flying beast attacked the forces of Earth until Choichiro Hikari turned into Ultraman Joneus to battle the creature. Spader was of little match for Joneus' superior skills. It tried to fight back using its energy beam, but Joneus put up the Barrier Gas and deflected the beam of energy. Spader turned and tried to flee, but his own beam smashed hard into his back, engulfing the monster in an explosion.
