Emerana Luludo Esmeralda (エメラナ・ルルド・エスメラルダ, Emerana Rurudo Esumeraruda), more commonly known as simply Emerana (エメラナ, Emerana) or Princess Emerana (エメラナ姫, Emerana-hime), is a major character in Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial.

An Alien Esmeralda princess and second daughter to King Emerado and Queen Emelulu, she befriended Run and Nao and joined them in their quest to search for the Shield of Baradhi after Kaiser Belial attacked her home planet.

History[]

Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial[]

Emerana first appeared at the beginning of the movie, running desperately from Belial and his imperial forces. While helplessly gazing at the destruction of her hometown, Emerana almost died when a Legionoid attacked her, but Mirror Knight arrived to save her. While the latter fell into the corruption by Belial, Emerana was safety transported inside the spacecraft form of Jean-Bot, Jean-Bird.

After the robot saved Run and his younger brother Nao at Planet Amu, Emerana prevented the robot from wiping their memories and through the formed friendship with Nao and Run, the three of them agreed to find the Shield of Baradhi as Zero revealed himself to be in possession of Run and the mission of defeating Belial. Once Zero earned the trust of Glenfire, who revealed the location of the Shield of Baradhi, Emerana followed Nao and Run to the Planet of Mirrors. Seeing Mirror Knight's fall into the darkness, Run/Zero gave Nao and Emerana his assurance through purifying the fallen warrior. After finding the statue of Ultraman Noa, Run became separated from Emerana and his younger brother, following Mirror Knight's failure to defend his homeworld from the invasion of Iaron.

As Emerana and Nao were rescued by Jean-Bot from the falling debris, the two managed to intrude into the spaceship Malebrandes, saving Run from the hands of Belial. With Run assuming his Ultra Form to battle against Belial, Mirror Knight engaged in the battle with Iaron upon his arrival. Not willing to give up against Darkgone, Emerana seemingly sacrificed herself to empower Jean-Bot, leaving Nao to pilot him. After a tough struggle, Jean-Bot finally destroyed Darkgone in his humanoid form. With Zero putting an end to the threat of Belial, Emerana revealed herself to be alive, much to the disbelief of Run and Nao, who were previously grieving her apparent death.

After she returned to her restored home and reunited with her family, Emerana and Nao had a proper meeting with the real Run, who was fully healed after Zero left to form the Ultimate Force Zero and clueless that Zero had temporarily inhabited his body. Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial

Ultraman Zero Gaiden: Killer the Beatstar[]

Emerana and Jean-Bot were captured by Beatstar's Beatstar Celestial Sphere, as the Ultimate Force Zero arrived late to save them. Finding herself separated from Jean-Bot, she was rescued by Gomora, who destroyed a Legionoid with ease, and leading to her meeting with Rei and Hyuga.

The three of them were saved by the timely arrival of the Ultimate Force Zero, after Gomora was getting overwhelmed by the combined force of an Inpelaizer, Ace Killer and a King Joe. With the Ultimate Force Zero finishing off their foes and kept occupied with Jean-Killer, Emerana, Rei and Hyuga were attacked by Jean-Bot, who had been brainwashed by Beatstar. With Hyuga injured while attempting to flee towards safety grounds, Emerana managed to prevent the brainwashed Jean-Bot from killing Litra, who was violently defeated by the robot, allowing Jean-Bot to return to his senses.

Entering the robot's cockpit, Emerana, Rei and Hyuga realized that Jean-Bot and Jean-Killer were brothers while Hyuga contacted Kumano to remove Beatstar's brainwashing programming on Jean-Bot. They then joined Zero, Glenfire and Mirror Knight to persuade Jean-Killer to defy against the orders of Beatstar and reveal his whereabouts.

After defeating Beatstar and the destruction of his celestial sphere, Emerana bids farewell to Hyuga and Rei as well as renaming Jean-Killer as Jean-Nine, who becomes an official member of the Ultimate Force Zero. Ultraman Zero Gaiden: Killer the Beatstar
