- Although Kikuchi played Ultraseven in episodes 14-15, Koji Uenishi portrayed the character in the rest of the series.
- This fact was referenced in the 2014 drama adaption of Aoi Honoo: At a bathhouse, Hideaki Anno mimics Ultraseven's fights against King Joe, but is mistaken for Ultraman Jack by Takami Akai. Anno explains that he is "half-right", as Jack's suit actor had played Ultraseven solely in King Joe's two episodes.
- In 1995, Kikuchi authored a book titled Ultraman Dandy: The Man Who Played Returning Ultraman about his and others' work on Return of Ultraman.
- In 2020, Kikuchi modeled for MAT merchandise to promote a 2021 event.[5]
- Kikuchi appeared alongside Jiro Dan in the tokusatsu film Planet Prince 2021.[6]
