Eclipse is the thirtieth episode of Ultraman Cosmos. It also features the first appearance of Cosmos's Eclipse Mode.

Plot

After his battle with Chaos Header Mebut, Cosmos loses the energy of light and falls inert. Musashi, with the cooperation of his friends, shine a light on Cosmos, but due to a rare full solar eclipse lasting over seven minutes, which happens once in thousands of years, they can’t seem to gather enough light…

• This episode marks the first appearance of the Eclipse form of Cosmos.
  • This episode also marks the start of the second half of the series.
  • According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, the concept was inspired by the belief that "courage can create miracles." The team designed the new form as a symbol of courage to express this message visually.
• The location where Musashi and Cosmos separate is believed to be the same forest park featured in Ultraman Cosmos: The First Contact. However, the episode does not clearly explain this connection.
