Eclipse is the thirtieth episode of Ultraman Cosmos. It also features the first appearance of Cosmos's Eclipse Mode.
Plot[]
After his battle with Chaos Header Mebut, Cosmos loses the energy of light and falls inert. Musashi, with the cooperation of his friends, shine a light on Cosmos, but due to a rare full solar eclipse lasting over seven minutes, which happens once in thousands of years, they can’t seem to gather enough light…

- This episode marks the first appearance of the Eclipse form of Cosmos.
- This episode also marks the start of the second half of the series.
- According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, the concept was inspired by the belief that "courage can create miracles." The team designed the new form as a symbol of courage to express this message visually.[2]
- The location where Musashi and Cosmos separate is believed to be the same forest park featured in Ultraman Cosmos: The First Contact. However, the episode does not clearly explain this connection.
