Trivia[]

- The episode is regarded as a story in the style of Ultraseven, featuring the invader Naga who uses the forcibly evolved "Dinosauroid" as advance troops. However, the story also incorporates more advanced science fiction concepts compared to the Ultraseven era. Additionally, starting with this episode, Shinichi Ooka, who had been serving as the director of photography, joined the series as the special effects director.[2]
- Screenwriter Junki Takegami recalled that the story was conceived around the idea that since there were two Weaponizers, they could be used as a key element. The script became intertwined with the "what if dinosaurs had evolved" hypothesis, and he tried to write a story around that. The "first draft" ended up being quite similar to "Ambassador of the Nonmalt," but this received some criticism from Kazuho Mitsuta for being too didactic. In order to avoid portraying humanity as entirely evil, adjustments were made to how the Dinosauroid's line: "Earth is actually our own planet" was expressed.
- In Takegami's original story concept, the plot revolved around the return of a race of Dinosauroid, who had existed before modern humans, to Earth. This idea was later revised, and Naga was subsequently added to the script.
- Director Yasushi Okada recalled that the outdoor scenes for this episode were filmed at the Tokyo National Museum, placing Daigo and the others in front of dinosaur skeletons. The scenes of the Dinosauroid were filmed in front of ancient geological strata. Okada mentioned that he wondered whether they could let children see elements of Earth science through the show, hoping that this might spark an interest in science fiction.
