Desperation! Jumborg Ace is the ninth episode of Jumborg Ace.
Synopsis[]
One day, while Naoki is away, the monster King Ginger approaches the Cessna. At that moment, a mysterious young man named Ippei Kazama appears and, despite the aircraft only responding to Naoki, manages to pilot it, skillfully evading the monster. He then demands that Naoki hire him as a Cessna pilot.
Plot[]
Ippei Kazama approaches Naoki's boss and asks to be hired as his new pilot. He is turned down, while Naoki insists that Jumborg is more important to him than his own life. While Naoki is meeting Setsuko, however, King Ginger attacks the airport. In desperation, Naoki's boss agrees that if Ippei saves Jumbo from the monster, he will be hired as pilot.
Naoki arrives late and sees the airport seriously damaged. Believing the monster has destroyed Jumborg, he tries to suicide run it in an oil truck. Anti Go-Ne calls the monster back because Jumborg Ace hasn't arrived. Naoki survives his attack and mourns his plane, but then it lands. Ippei triumphantly takes the job.
The next day, Naoki shows up early to work on the plane, while Ippei, surly, has to be roused from bed. Just then, King Ginger attacks again. Ippei and Naoki fight over who gets to pilot the plane. Naoki punches Ippei out, flies off, and transforms into Jumborg Ace. But Jumborg Ace seems to be outmatched, and Anti Go-Ne sends Fight King into battle as well! The episode ends with Jumborg Ace struggling against the two kaiju.
