Deathmatch on the Moon is the sixty-fourth and penultimate episode of Ultraman Cosmos.

Plot

Treasure Base is taken over by Chaos Header, and monsters disappear from the Kaburaya Islands. Cosmos heads to the moon to lure away Chaos Header from Treasure Base and begin his final confrontation against Chaos Header. There, a shocking truth is revealed. The final battle for humanity’s survival begins.

Trivia

• According to producer Hiroyasu Shibuya, the names "Luna Mode" and "Corona Mode" for Ultraman Cosmos were his own ideas. He had always hoped to have Cosmos land on the moon one day. However, the preparations for the lunar shoot were very demanding, and it wasn't until this episode that it was finally realized.
• This episode was later featured in Ultraman Retsuden episode 33 "Chaos Darkness! Decisive Battle on the Moon!!"
