Ultraman Wiki

Deathcium (デスシウム, Desushiumu) is an energy substance that Ultraman Belial generates as part of his attacks. Due to its unique nature, as while Deathcium is solely related to Belial alone, it has also seen its widespread use by those who share the Belial Factor and/or Belial's own powers, particularly in the New Generation Heroes era of Ultraman Series.

History[]

Deathcium had long been part of Belial's attack, prior to his corruption. During the Ultimate Wars, Deathcium Beam is portrayed as a bright red energy, as seen when Belial Early Style executed a pair of aliens working under Alien Empera.

Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial[]

After being corrupted by Alien Reiblood, then establishing his own empire in Another Space, Belial displays the Deathcium Beam for the first time in against his newly established rival, Ultraman Zero, where it is able to overwhelm the Zero Twin Shoot. When Belial transforms into Arch Belial, he gains the ability to unleash Arch Deathcium Beam from his mouth. Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial

Ultra Zero Fight[]

When the spiritual Belial possessed Ultraman Zero into Zero Darkness, he still exercises bits of Deathcium energy in his attack, in addition to corrupted powers of Ultraman Zero. Shining Zero

Ultraman Orb[]

The Ultra Fusion Card for Ultraman Belial is used by Gai Kurenai to particularly grant Ultraman Orb the form Thunder Breastar. Although unconfirmed, given the naming of Zedcium Beam and Zedcium Light Ring, it is presumed that Deathcium is also partially utilized in Orb's attacks, in addition to Zoffy's own powers. However in the final battle against Magatano-Orochi, an apparation of Belial appears alongside the other Ultras from their cards, performing their finishing moves as part of Orb's Origium Galaxis. Belial in particular, contributes by performing Zedcium Beam.

Ultraman Geed[]

While assuming Fusion Rise forms, Belial retains his use of Deathcium-related attacks to a certain capacity. In the final battle against his own son, Ultraman Geed, both ended their fight by clashing their finishing beams. Geed's Wrecking Burst overwhelms Belial's Deathcium Beam, ending it with the latter's definitive death in the dimensional void made by Zegun.

Although created from the Belial Factor and uses the Belial Capsule for his default form Primitive, no word has ever confirmed if Geed truly did exercising a portion of Deathcium to his attacks.

Ultraman Taiga[]

Deathcium Beam is once again presented by Imit-Ultraman Belial, a clone of the original Belial that was manufactured by Alien Chibull Mabuze. The clone shoots the beam simultaneously with Ultraman Tregear's Trera Ultigeyser against Ultraman Taiga Tri-Strium's Tri-Strium Burst and Ultraman Zero's Wide Zero Shot. The resulting act created a shockwave that sends all four Ultras backwards.

Ultraman Z[]

Beliarok, a sentient space needed created from the Belial Factor, exhibits the ability to execute three attacks revolving around Deathcium, provided when the user (Haruki Natsukawa) presses the button behind his head.

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]

Through Beliarok's help, Ultraman Z in Delta Rise Claw is able to empower himself and transforms into Deathcium Rise Claw. This form actually combines both the Deathcium energy provided from Beliarok with Z's deposit of Zestium energy, allowing them to execute Zestium Death Burst.[1]

Nature[]

Deathcium acts in similar manner to an Ultra Beam, as well as Spacium to a lesser extent, as it is portrayed as forms of energy while commencing energy techniques and finishing moves. However, the coloration of Deathcium varies:

  • Bright red: The Deathcium energy displayed by Belial Early Style, particularly one that lacks any influence of the Reionics DNA powered by Reiblood's spirit. When the Parallel Isotope Belial gets charged with Absolute Particles, the coloration remains the same.
  • Dark red/black and red: The standard portrayal of Deathcium, most commonly seen in Belial's default Reionics form.
  • Purple: First seen in Ultraman Belial Atrocius, particularly the Deathcium Destruct attack. Beliarok also display this while performing Deathcium Slash.
  • Yellow: Seen on Beliarok when performing Deathcium Splitter.

Given Deathcium's close ties with Belial and his progenies, it's implied that samples of the Belial Factor also contains them as well.

User[]

  • Ultraman Belial (Early Style/Kaiser): Progenitor; Deathcium Beam and presumably all forms of Belial's attacks.
    • Arch Belial: Arch Deathcium Beam
    • Zero Darkness: Deathcium Shot
    • Chimeraberus: Deathcium Burst
    • Ultraman Belial Atrocious: Deathcium Destruct and Atros Burst

    • Thunder Breastar
    • Thunder Miracle
    • Thunder Stream
  • Ultraman Geed Tri-Slugger: While performing Reflect Slugger, Geed fires a beam of dark red energy, which is all but implied to be Deathcium Beam.
  • Imit-Ultraman Belial: Deathcium Beam
  • Beliarok: Exhibits Deathcium to empower his attacks. Those who wield him also manipulates Deathcium energy to an extent.
  • Ultraman Z: The most prominent user of Beliarok, he initially required to access Delta Rise Claw to properly wield the living sword until his growing strength proves him capable of wielding the former, regardless of any forms in use.
    • Deathcium Rise Claw: An empowered variant of Delta Rise Claw from Beliarok's Deathcium energy fusing with Z's own Zestium Energy.
  • Ultraman Belial (Parallel Isotope): Deathcium Beam

Trivia[]

  • The DX toy releases of Beliarok (both retail and P-Bandai exclusive) has unused quotes that involves him using Deathcium as a sort of metaphor/prefix to his words. One particular slogan in the retail releases has him quote Deathcium Toothpaste (デスシウム歯磨き, Desushiumu Hamigaki) became funny and trending on Twitter posts as it reach a meme-like popularity amongst fans.
