Cosmo Beasts (コスモビースト, Kosumo Bīsuto) are guardian deities of Planet D60 that appear in Ultraman Regulos miniseries.

History[]

Ultraman Regulos[]

The Cosmo Beasts were natives to the Planet D60 as its guardian deities. A practitioner of the Cosmo Beast Style (コスモ幻獣拳, Kosumo Genjū-ken) can form a pact with one of them to access its unique fighting style and its corresponding powers. By doing so, the emblem of a Cosmo Beast appear somewhere on their bodies.

By the time an amnesiac Ultraman Regulos arrived on Planet D60, most of the Cosmo Beast Style practitioners had bonded to their respective Cosmo Beasts. The Absolutian named Absolute Diavolo sought to obtain the Cosmo Beast's power to add it to his strength, and set his sight on the training school's head Master Alude. As he had led the Magma Invasion Army to destroy Planet D60, Diavolo (in his Dias alias) took advantage of the weakened Alude to steal the Cosmo Buffalo for himself. Alude tried to counter this through a mutual kill but fails due to Diavolo's Absolute Heart resurrecting him. During Volcan's attack on the rest Cosmo Beast Fighters, Phoros and Tubahn pass their Cosmo Beasts to Regulos in their final breath to arm the Ultra with their powers. Although long dead in the invasion, Albeo and Pharood's Cosmo Beasts ended up reaching to Regulos as part of his additional powers, followed by Spica after her murder by Diavolo.

Ultraman Regulos: Special Voice Drama[]

In the second episode, Pharood discusses the importance of the Cosmo Beasts. Other than the present Beast Fighters in the miniseries, he explains the presence of Cosmo Scorpion and Cosmo Mantis, the former acquired by the exiled Graffias.

Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]

Regulos still carried the rest of the Cosmo Beasts with him even during his time imprisoned by The Kingdom. By the time he escaped thanks to the rescue team, Regulos continue his fight with Diavolo on Planet Blizzard. He then joins the Leo Brothers, distributing the Cosmo Beasts to each one of them to combine their powers and unleashing a powerful beam that defeated Diavolo, albeit temporarily again.

Data[]

Stats
  • Origin: Planet D60
Powers and Weapons
  • Martial Arts Proficiency: The Cosmo Beasts grant their contractors with the ability to be proficient in their respective animal-oriented martial arts.
  • Elemental Powers: The Cosmo Beasts each have their correspondence to elemental powers. Hence even if the contractor does not engage in martial arts, they can still channel said power in a smaller range.
  • Orb Form: Should the Cosmo Beasts part ways with their bearer, they can be kept in palm-sized orb of crystal forms. This allows others to access their powers (in this case Regulos) without the need to imbue themselves to their users in emblem forms.
  • Combination Attack: The powers of the Cosmo Beasts can be combined into a singular attack. The only Cosmo Beast Fighter to display this ability is Regulos, as no other evidence is shown if other practitioners can do this as well.
